You see? NK made more progress in the last 18 months on it's nuclear and ICBM missile technology development than at any time in the past 20 years.

All this rhetoric just gave NK an excuse to sprint towards the finish line and achieve the coveted ICBM hydrogen bomb tech. All the while landing a POTUS summit too.

Basically NK has won, big time. No one seriously thinks Trump will revert to the military option now that SK ally has went "All-in" on peace. NK has won. US has lost.

China slams 'irresponsible' US remarks over Korean Peninsula nuclear issue

China on Saturday hit back at US President Donald Trump's "irresponsible" accusations that Beijing's recent attitude on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue has changed, affecting the denuclearization process.

"The US side is contrary to basic facts and China are seriously concerned about this," Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang said on Saturday.

China will continue to play a positive role in that process, Lu said, adding that China's policy on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue is consistent and continuous and will not change.

The spokesperson also called for all parties to show more sincerity and flexibility, instead of being capricious and put the blame on others.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was due to return to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) next week for what he described as the next stage in ensuring the "final, fully verified denuclearization" of the DPRK.

But Trump on Friday tweeted that he has asked his top diplomat to cancel the trip because he felt the US side didn't make sufficient progress with respect to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and partly blamed China for lack of progress in the denuclearization process.

The Trump administration's move comes just one day after Pompeo announced the appointment of a new special envoy to Pyongyang.

Wow, even the North38 recognise that the politics of getting something as an exchange for nothing is not working any more : O .

The us strategy with the nk (or russia, china ,germany, uk ect. ) is simple: they have to implement all US demand, and accept that they get nothing as exchange.

And looks like a few start to realise that first it will not work, second the US has less and less resources to fight with everyone on the earth at the same time.

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Chinese president, on Sunday sent a congratulatory message to Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), on the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

On behalf of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the Chinese government and people, as well as in his own name, Xi extends his warm congratulations and sincere wishes to Kim, the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the DPRK government and people.

Kim is the chairman of the WPK and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.

In the message, Xi said the people of the DPRK have attained remarkable achievements in the cause of socialist revolution and construction over the past 70 years.

"In recent years, comrade chairman has led your party and people into taking proactive measures in social and economic development and achieved important results, and the development of socialism in the DPRK has entered a new historical stage," Xi said, "I'm really pleased to see all this."

Xi stressed that China and the DPRK are friendly neighbors linked by a mountain and rivers, and the China-DPRK traditional friendship forged and cultivated by the two countries' older generations of leaders is precious treasure shared by both sides.

The CPC and the Chinese government attach great importance to the China-DPRK friendly cooperative relations, unswervingly committed to maintaining, consolidating and developing such ties, Xi added.

Mentioning his three meetings with Kim this year, Xi said they have clearly charted the development direction of bilateral relations.

"I am willing to work hand in hand with comrade chairman to promote the China-DPRK relations for long-term, healthy and sound development so as to benefit both countries and both peoples and to boost regional peace and security," the Chinese president said.

Xi said he sincerely hopes that the DPRK people will attain greater achievements in national development and construction under the leadership of Kim and the WPK.

The Chinese president sincerely wished the DPRK prosperous and its people happy and safe.

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s top leader Kim Jong Un on Monday met China's top legislator Li Zhanshu again and hosted a special arts performance and a grand reception for Li and the Chinese delegation led by Li.

On the very important festive occasion when the DPRK is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding, the arrival of the Chinese delegation led by Li as special representative of Chinese President Xi Jinping fully shows the profound feeling of China's party, government, and people towards him as well as the party, government and people of the DPRK, said Kim.

The DPRK will regard the visit as an important opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields and contribute to the benefits of the peoples of the two countries as well as regional peace and prosperity, Kim said.

Li said that he, as special representative of President Xi, felt the grand hospitality and sincerity of the party and people of the DPRK immediately once he arrived in the country as well as the warmth of the China-DPRK friendship.

Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, met him and the Chinese delegation twice and held a special arts performance and a welcome reception, which show the sincere feelings of Kim himself as well as the party, government and people of the DPRK towards Xi as well as the party, government and people of China, Li said.

Promoted personally by Xi and Kim, the strong friendship between China and the DPRK has been revitalized and reached a new stage, Li said.

China is willing to join the DPRK in implementing the important consensus reached between the leaders of both countries and parties, learn more from each other where governance experiences are concerned and reinforce exchanges and cooperation in various fields, to jointly advance the socialist causes of the two countries, he said.

After the meeting, Li watched a special arts performance with Kim and his wife Ri Sol Ju. The performance included classical Chinese and Korean folk songs and ended with the song "The Everlasting DPRK-China Friendship," showing the DPRK people's sincere will to continue the traditional friendship between the two sides.

Li, together with Kim and his wife, attended the welcome reception after the performance.

Choe Ryong Hae, vice chairman of the WPK Central Committee, gave welcome remarks at the reception.

The DPRK is willing to work together with China's comrades to implement the important consensus reached by the two countries' top leaders during this year's three meetings and continue to promote the traditional friendship, he said.

When Li left Pyongyang after the visit, the DPRK's senior officials and thousands of people in traditional dress saw him off at the airport.

From Saturday to Monday, Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, visited the DPRK as the special representative of General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

China's top legislator on Sunday presented a signed letter from Xi to Kim.
