I also wouldn't take this 10:0 talk as an end-all-be-all result either. The way exercises happen inevitably heavily favors the stealth fighter because stealth fighters excel at first detection and lock on. In this game, as soon as this occurs, it's over and the 4th gen is considered downed. But in a real fight, the stealth fighter would have to lock on then fire, at least 2 missiles usually (instead of 1 in the simulation since they get automatic kill) to hope to get a kill. The 4th gen's MAWS would blare off and it would immediately use electronic countermeasures, chaff, flares, and evasive maneuvering to doge the missiles. If it succeeds, even if it doesn't, its team may get an idea from the missile of where the 5th gen is and head there full afterburner to try to catch it on close range radar or even get a visual. If that goes well, it becomes a nasty knife fight and the 5th gens could be outnumbered and in trouble. So 10:0 is a good result for J-20, but I'm not confident that this level of success would be reproduced in a real conflict.

The J-20 when out of missiles can still use its stealth advantage to slip away, possibly in a direction that presents the stealthier side of the J-20 to the opponents' radar.

From the source. If it was a large-scale exercise, the J-20 was likely deployed in a 3-flight against a full squadron. Then with 10:0, as opposed to 10:1, implies that 18-24 missiles were sufficient to destroy 10 aircraft without loss.

Definitely sounds like the "aliens" have shared the technology from "Roswell with the Chinese??" Sounds like another F-22 in the making?? guess the Russians aren't quite as far along in their humanities class?? LOL

Did he say whether it had a "cloaking device"?
I'm not argreeing with the OP, but using signals from the brain to control a device is nothing new. Doesn't need to be alien tech.
Back in the late 90's researchers were already using rhesus monkeys with probes in their heads to control robot arms to get food.
It's now available on civilian applications

No doubt it would come in handy, but until this bird is powered by the WS-15 or similar powerplant, that's kinda pie in the sky??

According to AVIC, the FC-31 is capable of supercritical and it too is using interim Russian engines. Wouldn'the be a stretch to assume that the J-20, which is better optimized for the supersonic regime, can'the do the same.

Now Mr. Siegecrossbow,,,, those Russian RD-93s are NOT pushing AVICs little "proof of concept bird" past supersonic in dry thrust, maybe with burner,,,of course, and maybe once you're at MACH 1.8 or whatever, you can pull it out of burner and coast for some little distance before you drop under MACH 1???

Heck the F-35 will do that, and probably the J-20 as well, but not ONE of the three of these birds are exceeding MACH 1 in dry thrust,,,, unless they are pointing straight down??? LOL

In level flight, trimmed up nicely,, neither of these three ladies will pop Mach 1 with their current powerplants?? just not gonna happen, maybe if they drop the F-117s in the J-20 it will?? maybe will I would say?, supposedly the T-50 will??

I rather doubt we disagree on much, but the laws of physics, God's law, natural law?? whatever you want to call it, doesn't really care what you say, or who you are, and even with the incredible thrust of the F-135 engine, in the F-35, it still is NOT ENOUGH to pop Mach 1...

Supercruise is the ability to exceed Mach 1 in level flight, in "dry thrust", the F-22 will do it, up to Mach 1.6 + which is outstanding, several other 4 gens, and supposedly the T-50 will allegedly supercruise as well...

I have no doubt that once the J-20 receives her WS-15s that she will likely be in the same neighborhood as the F-22,,, but I sincerely question that those AL-31FNs will push her past Mach 1?

apologies for being so forthright here, but I'd have to "see it?? to believe it"? drag goes up exponentially as airspeed increases, the faster you go, the more drag you induce by virtue of that same beautiful speed!

@Bltizo ... at the PDF our "special friend" - Yes, the one with the hyper-powerful "+210kN WS-15 from day-one" theory has another brilliant idea:

He found an article where a certain blogger proposes the J-20 is using Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality technologies for its HMD. He also explores the possibility that J-20 is able to read the pilot's mind to carry out his commands, in addition, with inputs from his hands. :p:D
