no, not like any other navy in the world. these days when hiding info is a lot harder, it is forced to release info - at least the ones that will come out anyway.

It sounds that you like free press. Please explain to me why a free press is important in a democratic society. Isn't it because a free press makes it harder for the politicians to hide their secrets? So what's fundamentally different in the case of the PLAN?

I guess if it's completely up to you, you would wish the Chinese are still flying kites and throwing rock. Too bad the world doesn't go the way you want...

Has India ever engaged in producing a 5th Generation fighter or ANY fighter using home made engines, avionics, electronics, radar, software, etc. all on their own? NO? I thought so.
has china for that matter?
if stealth shaping is all that takes to claim something as 5th gen, then congratulations to china and iran. the entire world has a lot to learn from you guys.

There is nothing in the forum rules about posting anything that puts China in a bad light, but there are rules about trolls like you who is obviously here to stir things up. As a senoir forum member here ask, why are we feeding your flame bait, it is best to just ignore you. Have a good day.

Ever heard of the J-20? India doesn't even have their own program at that level, as a matter of fact they are behind Iran when it comes to stealth R&D even if it's a fake.

Honestly, not supporting the guy who made this discussion a troll but saying the above post may be exaggeration.

I would love to know about how many intellectual properties Iran scores every year against India's or how much their R&D budget. How much of made by them is proved to be useful for other countries in world too.

Engine:
The metallurgy, you need to master Nickel based superalloy tech, not that easy.

Stealth Plane:
Preliminary Design phase, developmental design phase, integration with new equipments, a lot. Iranian Stealth plane can't be ready this early.

Regarding testing, you need basic infrastructure for developing, wind tunnels, testing beds.

There's a lot in world tech which is not in sight in case of Iran. Even much of what they claim.

No offense intended to anyone.

Nor I'm a very active member on SD who gives explanation of everything posted here.:(

Nobody wouldn't have aruged over that either.

India's new hypersonic simulation tunnel and shock tunnel.

It's third largest in the world and it's existence is the reason why we can't call India's HGV program fake.:)

#Super_Vision_2000 an airborne 3D naval surveillance radar, meant for helicopters and light transport aircraft. The SV-2000 is a lightweight, yet high performance, slotted array radar operating in the X Band. It can detect sea-surface targets such as a periscope or a vessel, against heavy clutter, and can also be used for navigation, weather mapping and beacon detection. The radar can detect a large vessel at over 100 nautical miles (370 km). It is currently under modification to be fitted to the Advanced Light Helicopter, and the Navy's Do-228's. Variants can be fitted to the Navy's Ka-25's as well. The radar has been inducted by the Indian Navy and a more advanced variant of the Super Vision, known as the XV-2004 is now in production. The XV-2004 is also operational, and features an ISAR, SAR Capability.
