It will keep flying when we are going to retire.
Yep...and perhaps those Mi-24s will earn the distinction that the Tu-95s and B-52s have earned. Give them another 15 years and they will...where right now the grandchildren of the men who first flew the B-52s and Tu-95s are now old enough to flying those aircraft!

That's simply a tribute to the design and the maintenance of such systems that they:

1) Can continue to operate after so many decades.
2) That they can still be made to be relevant.

And with all of these systems we are talking about (TU-95s, B-52s, Mi-24s, etc.)...they fill both of those.

The B-52 was introduced into service in 1955, 60 years ago this year. The Tu-95 was introduced in 1956, 60 years ago next year. The Mi-24 was introduced in 1972, 43 years ago.

Pardon me for showing my age (I am turning 60 years old) but I still believe the B-52 and the TU-95 are beautiful.

Yep but seems homeported to Sebastopol

Black Sea Fleet / News units: small vessels missile launcher and Serpukhov Zeleniy Dol (21631 project) successfully completed its sea trials off Novorossiysk. It is expected that in the coming days they join Sevastopol to be admitted to active service. (Lenta) Comment: These two ships had arrived at Novorossiysk last summer. This will be the first two units of this type in the fleet of the Black Sea. It is their sister ships, which carried out the Kalibr missiles fired from the Caspian Sea last month. These units are also equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles.

I'll apologize if it's a hoax, but most recently I've repeatedly read in Russian Internet a Varshavyanka-class ("Improved Kilo") submarine Rostov-upon-Don (Б-237), while in the Med, this morning launched "Klub LACMs" (the event would probably look like this:

Russian military operations in Syria against ISIS was bound to shift to a much higher gear once it has been established that they brought down that Russian airliner.

The only question is, how much further would Russia go to avenge the deaths of those citizens.

Exact but i want to be very clear minimum 16 Bombers used, 12 Tu-22m and 2/2 Tu-95H/160 in a strike never see from Desert Storm or maybe Iraqi Freedom this is high intensity military operation.
