So, did the Tu-22M3s fire Kh-22MAs, Kh-32s, or drop free-fall bombs?
Details above but no Kh-22/32s, 31 in fact are anti-ships Tu-95H/160 use KH-55/555 and Kh-101 for him the first time in combat but no sure right now, interesting know can help for get exact range now 2700/5000 km a little difference...

Tu-22M seems have used bombs especially 250 kg maybe a part not guided

bro? you don't have the Mozdok Airbase in your files? or you're disputing it was used today?? (then tell the Base Commander shown in my previous post :)
A helo base but a former airbase with an airstrip then combat aircrafts use it temporarily.

thanks!
i'm, particularly interested in the Tu-22M3s loadout.
the idea of the Kh-22/32s did seem a bit much.
Tu-22M3s don't carry the Kh-31; too short of a range!
that's why I added my thoughts about the Kh-15 and Kh-59. The Tu-22M3s can carry 10 Kh-15s, but, as far as Wikipedia is concerned, there is no simple ground attack variant.
As for the base, the Russians should consider building a combined naval and air base at Makhachkala Coat_of_Arms_of_Makhachkala.png, on the Caspian, maybe based upon
Uytash Airport

Russia is now admitting the airliner was nbroght down by ISS, and want to eradicate them too.
I think they demonstratively showed patience in waiting for the results of the examinations in contrast to the MH17 case where it was determined that the rebels were responsible, which were then not directly accused, but all work was directed not at finding out what happened but at looking for "evidence" that could be used against them.

that I think think this is the first time the Russians have used all three of their bombers in operations could someone tell if they remember another time
Never, never, i don' t know if you realize but 25 heavy Bombers in one strike and Tu-22M have do carpet bombing ! enormous !!! and very possible they do it again.
Some Tu-22 Blinder, Tu-16 or maybe Tu-22M used in Afghanistan in 1980's possible but very few never Strategic bombers as Tu-95H in more Tu-160 only in service from 1988 not completely operationnel and Afghanistan war finish in 1989.

A liitle flashback in 1990 Strat Av, get 430 Bombers whose 205 Strat ! 3 Air armies an orbat ! except PVO i have for 350 Excel lines ! PVO with many many SAM 350 also :)
30% of Soviet GDP for Army, about 13 % for USA at this time more big number of weapons for Soviet mainly grounds troops but better quality for USA.

Only comparison possible Iraqi Freedom USAF have 40 bombers on area up to Diego Garcia and ofc Desert Storm 86 B-52G !

early theory was exactly so: transfer of ships through a friendly in-between for both. with appropriate time gap (a year) to save face.
.
The Russians are not going to be getting those vessels back.

They have been sold to Egypt and Egypt intend to integrate them fully into their military.

The Russians will realize the ability to sell the helicopters the have navalized and in fact have already announced their intent to do so.

In addition, cease the wild theories that Russia is about to attack Yemen or other places when it is clear that is not what Putin stated.

Short of specific, credible news reports announcing the sale of the ships to Russia, or the announcement of specific military attacks elsewhere, please stop continuing with pure inference posts here on SD. It is pure speculation.

SD is not a conspiracy theory forum. it is not a fan boy forum. It is not a wild eyed theory forum.

We are a professional Defense/Military forum and intend to keep it that way.

No problem asking about it...but when you get clear answers from seasoned posters here...let it drop unless and until you have, as I say, credible and sourced news articles announcing the sale or the military attacks.

I am moving these posts to the "Ask Anything" thread.

DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MODERATION.

IMHO, it is becoming more clear (IMHO) that Putin is serious about the plan to send 150,000 troops to help in Syria.

"cease the wild theories that Russia is about to attack Yemen"

try to be correct and do not disinform others: it was qatar and saudis.
please, cease the wild theories of putin plans and intentions: he stated many times that ground forces will not be sent.
and never refer to uk express as a credible source;)
especially if you don't take lavrov seriously
