Well, the Japanese have yet to present any proof at all. What happened with their evidence they wanted to present to the UN?

In dubio pro reo should be the order of the day when confronted with any unsubstantiated allegations in a system suppossed to be ruled by law. But this doesnt seem to apply to "enemies of freedom", apparently...

Evidence of using FCR isn't the only thing that should be demanded. Location, time, distance between ships, nature of operation of MSDF should all be provided for a full and complete picture. If one wants to make accusations of such implications, then all details need to be provided to back up accusation or otherwise debunk it. Actual statement of what one considers as being painted by FCR is also important so everyone is on the same page.

It now occurs to me that this outcry about Chinese ships "radar painting" Japanese vessels is preparatory work for the justification of a Japanese first-strike. Once the Western media gets the public used to the idea that Chinese warships "radar lock" Japanese ships, they will be much more willing to accept a first-strike scenario from the Japanese.

Can some experienced forumites provide information on the reliability of any proof the Japanese can provide? It's my understanding that data is data. It can easily be falsified if enough work is spent on making it look real.
It does remind one of the Gulf of Tonkin incidents.

i've heard that both the north fleet and the south fleet had been raised to alert level 1 and dispatched into western pacific. any sources to confirm this? does this mean china is gearing for war?

i doubt it, latest pic still shows subs at pier side. if the fleet is placed on high alert, they would be the first ones that disappear into the ocean blue.

An average joe isn't going to be able to differentiate between waveforms of Beethoven's 5th Symphony and that from a Chinese fire control radar. Think about that.

It does remind one of the Gulf of Tonkin incidents.

More like the sinking of ROKS Cheonan. In that incident, South Korea performed an "investigation" with results disputed by Russian, China, and South Korea's own investigators. Yet, North Korea was blamed in the end.

No kidding considering how many of today's sailors carries a smart phone with them to at least record it.

US takes side with the japanese on the issue

no evidence so far, but Nuland said on monday: " we were briefed by our japanese allies on the incident and we've satisfied ourselves that it does appear to have happaned."

The problem is that Japanese and American propaganda uses 21st century modern day techniques to spread and convince the world their point of view.
The CPC is still stuck using 1950's and 1960's propaganda that don't work anymore.

It's time China started winning the media war with Japan and America. Chinese media power and influence is appalling.

Come on J-XX, this is a defense forum, not a political one. Please do not introduce this type of political BS into the threads. A lot of our members are US and love their country and believe in her every bit as much as our Chinese brothers and sisters believe in theirs, the Brits in theirs, Australians in theirs, Japanese in theirs and so forth.

We all meet here on SD to civilly discuss Chinese and World defense issues, equipment, development, etc..

Talk like this invariably only leads to nationalistic arguements and defeats the purpose of the forum.

Just some advise from a long time member. It's free and you can take it however you will...but it's a good word to the wise.
