I am thinking why are they doing it on unshelter open space? Can't they do it in shelter hangar away from foreign satelite eyes.
, isn't it better?

Everyone knows what it looks like, why need to cover it up?

They are opening the panel, probably working on the circuit board or some system... Consider US spy satelite able to zoom in on car plate numbers. Why do you think they are not able to take a look at what's inside the panel?

Because they're probably working on it when the satellite isn't there? Or maybe they're blinding it with their fancy lasers every time it's over head.

...Or maybe, they really don't care because there's nothing really important there anyway.

There are already extremely clear pictures of inside the landing gear compartment, I don't think what's underneath the airbrake will be much different. Plus if I'm a NRO satellite tasker I probably will be driven crazy by Chengdu's foggy weather.

Right on both counts brother, the Airbrake well is designed to protect the sensitive equipment inside the fuselage just like the landing gear well, likely all that would be in there would be the actuators and possibly the hydraulic lines etc. While everyone is spying on everyone, it is somewhat of a gamey deal, and while lots of folks steal other peoples state secrets, on this side of the pond the motivation is primarilly like watching tape of the other teams games, so your defensive coordinator will know what to look for and how to counter it. The peacekeeping defensive mode is always at play on our team, the American Psyche is such that lots of times we ignore the provacative acts of others even to our own detriment, hoping that in the end our good Faith, will play out for us all! Yes we still believe in this World Peace nonsense, but also the old football axiom, "The Best Defense, is a Good Offense"! In My Humble Opinion the Brat

Some "Birdwatchers," actually, have very good equipments. They are not posting their best photos. They don't want to go to "Tea Parties!

No, and we don't want our brothers doing any tea party time either, like I said we won't tell, I was being honest when I stated that I felt priveleged to share this. My Mom mentioned our maid Yashiko, and stated that she was more like family, and that we all loved her and that she loved you kids like you belonged to her. So I had an Asian mommy a coupla days a week, this would have been late 50s very early 60s, I remember we had these fish flags we flew on poles for "boys day". Is our baby still behind the fence, maybe Lie Quange will give us a little pirep type update?

That means depending on a vast military superiority?
