Think AH-1/AW-129 class of attack helicopter is what they're aiming for WZ-10 to be.

To me, I think the WZ-10 looks and acts a lot like the AH-64A Apache gunship, but not the newer long-bows.

The newer AH-1Z Viper, which is the recent upgrade to the AH-1 Cobra, has now approached the power and carry weight of the Apache and could be considered I suppose...but I still think the WZ-10 looks a lot more like the Apache.

I believe the Long-bow Apache is probably still amongst the best attack helos out there, though I have always also liked the Russian KA-52 Alligator.

Forgot to say, the WZ-9 isn't quite as feeble as that, having 1000KW rather than 1000shp - that's around 1350 shp.

WZ-10 is abit too pretty for my taste, i like ruggedness

assasinmace, these posters looked like they are shown in the same place, with more of these shown up i think it gave even less credibility to the data sheet they are showing

perhaps some Chinese military fans were having fun somewhere and they decided to make some posters

As Pilots Like too say If it looks good it fly good.
I suspect though that some amount of the Wz10 development went too that unique look in terms of an attempt at radar cross section reduction, Not true Stealth perhaps that would demand internal weapons carry, retractable gear and enclosed tail rotor or notar or some other means of countering the torque effect but rather a reduction in signature
