Re: Translation of amateur Chinese military article, take a look!

Now would be fine (even ideal), though my last semester is about to start. It'd be good to give me things passage by passage since I don't know how busy I'll be, but I will be sure to notify you if I think I'm slowing everyone down.

Don't worry about it. We work in parallel to avoid this problem. We label the paragraphs for a reason.

Where do I find my assigned passage? EDIT: Nvm, gotta make an account on Chinesedefence huh?

Lol actually it might not be such a good idea to have this info to be translated -- doing so will probably make the job of western intelligence much, much easier given their previous track record :p
(now we wait to see who objects -- they are probably CIA XD )
Honestly, I am sure the CIA knows. They have very competent translators (for example, if they really couldn't find competent translators in the states (I snort at the notion), couldn't they just outsource them from Taiwan?).

It's just not in their interest to inform the public, or even let the other side know that they know.
...And I am gonna be a suspect CIA if I disagree? :D

You don't really buy the bullock that Western Intelligence agencies really gather info from Chinese websites do you?
I bet they do. I know the CIA goes Al Qaeda hunting on the internet. I doubt they'd overlook a site like CJDBY or even sinodefence.

You've seen the article at the link I gave, right?

I'm translating Chapter 2 right now. Check post 134 for the Chinese article. Right now I've gotten to paragraph 41. Any thing after it is fair game but please do the chunks in order. It is easier this way.

Ch. 2. We are at the part about choosing the aerodynamic configuration:

.....

Thnx for helping out! If you guys are interested in something a little long term we can propose a list of professional and well written amateur articles that we can tackle in the future.
