Nikkei compared BYD and Tesla's sales figures for 2020 and 2025 using data from S&P Global Mobility. BYD overtook Tesla in 22 countries and regions. In addition to European nations like the U.K., Spain and Italy, the automaker also passed Tesla in Hong Kong and Singapore, where luxury vehicles are said to have a large market share. Last year, BYD toppled Tesla as the world's No. 1 EV seller.

Polyphony Digital recently added Xiaomi's SU7 Ultra to Gran Turismo 7, the first and so far only Chinese car represented in the franchise, so I suspect there is an official collaboration behind Xiaomi's use of the Vision GT name/logo.

(There are a few Chinese cars in Forza, but to date the only one confirmed for upcoming Forza Horizon 6 is the 2013 Wuling Sunshine S.)
