An interview with Sqn Ldr (Nato OF-3) (R) Ali Hamza, on Balakot strikes by India on 26/2/2019 and subsequent planning of Pakistani response on 27/2/2019, shooting and capture of Wing Commander Abhinandan and the rest of the details from Pakistani side.

A quite famous ASPI article from that time, which corroborates of the events which he claims,

This Urdu couplet by 19th-century poet Qayam Chandpuri depicts a thief's rope snapping just as the rooftop—symbolizing escape—is within grasp, underscoring fate's bitter twist in near-victory.

Why did they abandoned the PAK-FA project at almost the maturity, what better options did they had? Sheer hubris on Indian's part.
They claimed that the project was outdated and the avionics and weapons equipment were outdated. Around that time, rumors started... Tejas will be next year and we... etc. Unfortunately, that "next year" lasted for many more years. :)
But personally, I think today that the main reason was that they simply couldn't handle their part of the development.

Hi,
some how one way or the other if Indian accept downing of one Rafale, later in
their debate they will say we don’t have long range BVRs Meteor supplied by France
or they might say oh we were not carrying them to fire towards Pakistan
thank you

They still have RVV-AEs on their MiG-29Ks and Su-30MKIs
Hi,
yea you are right but I’m talking about downing of Rafale & excuse can be created ohh no
Meteor on our Rafale otherwise we can splash PAF from 150/170KM
though these RVV were their own mig29 and SUMKi during 2019 skirmish but nothing doing
and then Modi gee famous statement AgAr Raphael hotaa too ( had india had Rafale jets, perhaps
the outcome of 2019 incidents would have been different)
thank you

It's exactly RVV-AEs, not SDs, much less the most modern SDMs.
It means more or less same range class for forward hemisph launch as MICA-EM(not the still undeployed NG). Both are 1990s weapons, early ARH MRAAMs. With both we look at notional range against cooperative target in order of 80km, and realistic effective range within ~30km.

Against PL-15 it introduces range disparity of 2.5 times. Moreover, since it's likely Indian pilots didn't even expect to be fired at that early(and were effectively ambushed), for Indian pilot expectations, at least in initial engagement, we may refer to the lower range number.

But for PL-15 it's possible to look closer at full promotional ones, as they were launched early at oblivious opponent, and they clearly were only picked up by Indian AF later, at a point where it came down to individual evasive maneuvering.
