Armenia is less than one step away from invasion, as Zangezur corridor issue is at hand.

First of all, country is split. Their previous Karabakh relationship was deeply corrupt, but current one, while more popular, is seen by good chunk of country as outright treacherous.

Russia, main safety provider, is astranged by Armenian pro-western leadership and Armenian nationalists; it's also preoccupied. Not enough? Look at what Azerbaijan now buys from everyone. Heavy AA. There's literally one country in the entire region who's calculus is affected by AA procurement.

Iran, the only realistic help should things turn really bad, is equally estranged by same western overtures, it is defeated(and for it next conflict with Israel is not if, it's when), and cut off by the very same Zangezur corridor.

France and US? Haha, what else can be said here. Not like they're genuine in the first place, and even if they were - geography is tough, Azerbaijan is more valuable.

Armenia is actually desperate now. And light fighters could potentially make a difference for them.

Why not just buy from China then? JL-9, JL-10, K-8, or even J-10. Armenia has some militaries ties with China; the latter provides the former with small sums of military aid.

(1) China in this context is seen via Pakistan lense. It doesn't mean Armenia is hostile to China, but JF-17 overflew Baku victory parade.
(2) China is not desperate to sell; there will be no favourable conditions. India is, in fact, desperate - and through its history is anti-islamic one even at its own expense. Idiotic "small lion, big lion" memes are an actual sentiment.
(3) Between JL-9, JL-10, K-8, or even J-10, which one will match JF-17 or F-16 Ozgur best? :)
This is a combat jet story, for a country, which to a significant degree lost a disastrous war from the air.
They already covered requirement to overfly defeat parades with Su-30SME - they look more imposing than any training jet.

I am in the middle of revisiting all the things that were said before and during the operation Sindoor, there is one aspect of incredulity that all the usuall suspects just dismissed out of hand, anyhow some may find it amusing.

In the middle of operation Sindoor, there was big talk of PAF hitting XGaurd decoy of Rafale, infact in the video above, a real Thunderbird fighter pilot gives quite a colorful description of these decoys along with SPECTRA systems,

'These decoys are slicker than your slickest tinder dodge', according to him PL-15E that PAF used was a dumbed down version which didn't have the anti spoofing and Pakistan fell for India's electronic bait and switch.

Now US congress report goes on in some details regarding operation Sindoor, yet there are no follow ups from all the usual suspects.

Imagine a country fielding both Rafales, a Western 4.5th gen jet, and Su-57s, a Russian 5th gen jet... LOL

This just adds to the evidence that, while the Rafale is a very capable jet, its procurement by the IAF is a strategic mistake in the long term...

Having Rafale and a good SAM web would be enough in a way. I cannot see Pakistan or other neighbor invading India... No one would want to administrate that mess beside having some kind of puppet government in place.

On the other hand, if they want to be able to bully their neighbors, India will need to buff his airwing. Having a pleiade of aircrafts types is not the good way to do it but a fast way to achieve it. They will have the blunder of logistics to play with...

Indians are not so sure, as they were ruled by foreigners from 712 - 1947 AD, Chinese had a century of foreign rule (+ 153 years of Mongols) that defines them to this day, while our neighbours have almost 12 and half centuries of stigma, so historical context still matter.
