Interesting post from Piotr about Putin's upcoming visit to India:

The main target of the Su-57's PR campaign in Dubai a week ago was India. The photo shows a special presentation of the fighter jet for Indian media. In three days, Putin begins his visit to India, where he will offer the Su-57. India has already rejected the Su-57 once.

And even though I see it more as yet another desperate attempt by Russia to show that it's still around, even if there's not much evidence of that anymore... I can't imagine India will go along with it again. However there is indeed a lot of pressure from the Indian public, is that really a solution?

Russia is still the 3rd world power aviation wise after China and US, no amount of western cope is going to change that. Not too bad considering they literally experienced their own badly damaging cultural revolution disruption for the decade plus after 1991, and considering they have roughly 1/9 of PRC and 1/2-ish of US population, and 1/6th and 1/4th respectively of PPP GDP.

Let's wait and see, why rush things? India is usually not a country where things happen fast
(As an aviation enthusiast) I hope they've learned from their past mistakes and won't make absurd demands for mere pennies again... That said, their ruling class and most of those online are far too arrogant and antagonistic, so hopefully things stay as they are, and Pakistan won't need to divert crucial resources toward acquiring a 5th-gen anytime soon...

Adding two and two, i think this time Russian pitch is incoming double seater.
India always wanted one, but didn't want to pay for it(nor did Russia want to pay from its pocket for India). As a result FGFA was single seater.
Now Russia develops backseater for itself(more or less same reasons as J-20S), so the issue resolved itself. Other problems from before are also gone - Su-57 is out of development hell and its future isn't in clouds; any reasonable scedule of Indian FGFA v.2 comes after second stage engines should go online.

The point is not that I deny this patent, but we all know a patent is mostly at first just a patent ... and so far I did not hear any clear indication, that the RuAF will get twin-seater.

If you don't speak Russian, your automatic translator probably didn't do its job properly, or you didn't fully read the attached file.
One passage states:

The possibility of using a two-seater multifunctional aircraft as an airborne command post, with the ability to ensure interaction between the air force and military formations in solving combat missions, analyzing information from its own systems and external sources, and subsequently issuing recommendations to the crew and commands to the group's aircraft, as well as a control post for unmanned aerial vehicles.

Regarding the highlighted section, I would like to point out that the Russians have an advanced program for the Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik unmanned aerial vehicle. Therefore, the command and guidance capabilities of the two-seater SU-57 become an integral part of the program and will certainly be built for the RuAF.
