Maybe an info don't need people to belive to be true. It's just an info. Time will prove it is true or false.
And, I'm not sure why you thought a problem must be found out by sea trails.
USS CB-3 to CB-6 was cancelled in june 1943 when US Navy finnally realized they are junks. Which is before CB-1 Alaska had been launched in April 1943.
the major design fault in AC mostly appear during sea trails.

003 Fujian launched in June, 2022 and CPC party congress held in October, 2022.. its highly unlikely they discovered major fault in just 3 months.

003 about to enter in service after 8 sea trails and EMALS test..
---------------------------------------------------------------------
i m not doubting on your source, this is just the info and can be false or true..

and this conventional Aircraft carrier in JN shipyard is just the rumor. nothing is confirm yet. so we have to wait. only time will tell.

I'm convinced the next carrier design will still be conventional, but will incorporate the design of a CVN.

At the same time, the PLAN is building a larger ship to test nuclear propulsion, perhaps an icebreaker.

Both designs will then be combined to create the PLAN's first CVN.

In conventional ship buiding process. That might be true.
But Fujian is more like some new kind of Alaska.
She's designed as a normal carrier with 2 steam cats. But during her building ,she was redesigned as a IPS(delete) carrier with 3 electric cats. That means it's redesignment is filled with compromise(not to mention the entire program is managed by Ma Weiming at last, who has 0 ship building experience) . Many of its problem cannot be fixed easily. And that makes CSSC engineers always complain "you should never let a electrician in charge of a shipbuilding program."

But as you said,Untill the truth had come to us. All infos might be true or false.

Well. Fujian also makes me to consider she is similar to North Carolina class. Whey are designed as a 14-inch Battleship but redesigned as a 16-inch battlship after they were laid down.

Who said that the Fujian's propulsion system is IEPS? And who said that Fujian was meant to have only two steam catapults in the first place?

Interesting to hear about the initial steam cat Fujian version if accurate. Those two cats, were they both in the bow or one in the bow and one in the waist? How much was the design/building delayed when switching from 2 steam cats to 3 EMALS?

Thats pretty unlikely considering you'll end up with a crappy experimental carrier that has the worst of both worlds. DL's ship is most likely nuclear, while JN's ship is probably conventional of unknown design currently.

There are many mistakes in your post.

Ma Weiming is not the ship designer. he is the member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and he didn't design 003 Fujian.. he designed only EMALS. that being used in 003 and later on 076.

and Fujian propulsion system is not IEPS.. who told you this ??

you probably didn't read this thread..

CVN 004 project already initiated by Dalian shipyard.

we are talking about 003 sister ship here..

Oh you are right about IEPS.but as far as that friend told me. Ma is surely in charge in Fujian program. And I never said he designed the carrier. But all the design of this ship must compromise to his idea.
