Does the U.S. really need much to take over Greenland?

They could do a funny and just land a startship with a bunch of marines on Greenland and do a moon landing reenactment, plant an American flag and order Google and co to all change Greenland as now American on their maps and call it job done.

I was thinking more along the lines of inviting the Danish government to “Not-Epstein’s-Island” for some underage orgy, take copious amounts of video/biological evidence, and promptly arrest them and hold them captive until they relinquish rights to Greenland.

Probably a little too close to home for Don Trump.

And why would they even need to bother with such an elaborate scheme when they can just invent the charges with zero need for any evidence just like the drug lord charges against Maduro?

Just quietly drop the charges once the invasion is done and Danish government are all in chains in US military custody so they don’t need to produce any evidence at all in court and at that point what’s done is done and Greenland is under American occupation even if they later release all the Danish leaders.
