I think with all the hype happening in the middle east. China should do something to take advantage of the distraction. No, not start Taiwan war but taking over more islands in the SCS. Start building more islands like the Scarborough shoal could be easily doable.

Where are you and what level of education are you talking about? In the US, in higher scientific academia, it's generally the understanding that the US has gone insane and China is both more reasonable and has a much bigger claim to the future. The story about the FBI going to MD Anderson asking Chinese lab directors if they're more concerned with Chinese cancer or American cancer is the laughing stock of all scientific PhDs. My friend's director is Egyptian and he was firm that America is the most futuristic advanced society in the world and China is backwards... until he went to China for 1 conference and got Elon Musk'd. It's possible that people are holding back with me because I'm Chinese but it's certain that the scientific community in the US think their government as absolutely lost its marbles, mostly from fear of China.
Goes to show that there is indeed a tier system — when you look down there is nothing but shit and when you look up there is nothing but assholes.

In my opinion China should deploy troops and patrol the sky of Pakistan. Accelerate the timeline of exercises for this year with Pakistan because looks like America will join the war vs Iran. Advance the deterrent.
I guess the conspiracy theorists were right about May 7th being a probe attack against Pakistan. Their end goal is to denuclearize any Islamic country. From a geopolitical standpoint it makes sense given how international perception, especially of American Gen Z, have soured post October 7th.
Sounds like over the top speculation on extreme US power and planning. I don't think US and the west is that well organized and powerful. They are just going with the flow. Israel is also going with the flow. They saw an opening to attack Iran when Trump got elected. Cause Joe Biden would never ever allow this attack to happen.
Trump was always extreme anti-Iran and Pro-Israel. He got out of JCPOA, moved embassy to Jerusalem and endorsed Israeli settlements on Palestine. This is him just following the pattern.
It is Iran that has been foolish not to see the tendencies of Trump and not prepare for war. Instead they elected a reformist and got weaker in terms of internal control.
Now the only way to salvage this for Iran and the rest of the anti-western resistance groups such as Russia and China is to make this into a quagmire, a war of attrition. Bog US down in Iran somehow. If Iran can be as resilient as the houthis, then US will be in big trouble trying to salvage its reputation while continuously fighting an endless war of missiles and air power.
