US bases in the Middle East yes. Most Iranian missiles don't have the range to hit Israel. But officially Iran has no intercontinental capability. Well officially they don't but IRGC space launchers could do it.
Iran's BM's are highly likely to be using glonass, and the accuracy provided by glonass around equator varies quite heavily (revisit times optimized for Russia higher up the globe)
Some days the Iranian missiles can achieve sub meter precison, other days it is 100s of meters precisions.
Saving up bigger salvos for more precison might be a condiseration as well.

True that, they were more focused on US bases in the region and the GCC. When their strategic depth got rolled up they got caught with their pants down and now they are facing the consequences.

How come Israeli defences couldn't intercept them all, that's a very small amount of missiles

I not saying continental US but a regional war with the US and their allies and that include Israel.
When just two dozen missles get through, why use more?
