Coming out with a conceptual design in an aircraft cant be that hard, even fan bois have a go.
Fan boy's arts are artworks and not design. Never did the fan boys give a single piece of concrete data supporting their concepts.

Coming out with a conceptual design in an aircraft cant be that hard, even fan bois have a go. The problem is with the powerplant.

Who says fanboy cannot design and make an engine? Just like how a fanboy come out with a conceptual design, I too can copy and paste a couple images of turbofans and call it a day. But can that be the same as a professionally designed work? That would be the difference between a fanboy and a professional...

It is very ignorant to assume that conceptual design is easy. A design defines the total characteristics of the plane. One of the key characteristics of a 5th gen fighter is its stealth. Many of the plane's stealth feature comes out of conceptual design and took decades of hard work by professionals with in-depth knowledge of aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, statistical mechanics, material science, etc... Saying that a fanboy can have a go at conceptual design is equivalent of saying "anyone with a telescope can see stars, thus astrophysics is easy..."

:D
Exactly.
They are probably the best CG's yet, and perhaps most similar to what the real thing will look like, by 70092's posts.

Excellent analysis may I add not only is China hampered by low industrial base and recurrent politic disruption. She also has to contend with the strickest embargo ever imposed on a country. Let consider the first stage of Turbine here you have temperature exceeding 2000 deg F coming from combustion chamber . Now how you are going to cool the turbine blade ?.
You need single crystal material blade and drill hole inside it to cool it with air

For long time China cannot even buy 5 axis NC Machine . She now produce it themselves

Luckily the folks in Chinese engine industry seem perfectly clear-headed about the "task" mentioned above. There was an media interview (only the Chinese version googleable though) with the CGTE chief engineer Jiang Hepu (chiefly responsible for WS15 I suppose) last year. He claimed they are 30 years
behind the US engine industry, and will spend the next 40 years to narrow down the gap!

So they know exactly the track condition below their feet.

Personally I believe the different atittudes lead to the contrasting outcomes of WS10 and Kaveri projects.

Btw rumor says the first generation of monocrystalline blade is being tested on WS10, let's wait & see what will come up with WS15.

I know I am not trying to disparage China . I think they did tremendous job overcoming all the shortcoming in such a short time

Re: New Generation Fighter

Dont know how reliable the source is, but it seems that probably a couple of days from now, there will be a critical date of the fighter we have been talking about for all these years.

Care to elaborate on magnitude of critical-ness? (Taxi run, maiden flight, any idea?)
