now might also be a good time to repost this picture I made a few years ago comparing drydock 4 at JNCX which is where 003 is expected to be built and which that illustration depicts, Newport News Dock 12 (which built USS Ford and other CVNs; note the width of the drydock in particular; the full length of it isn't used for carrier construction obviously), and the drydock at Dalian (that built 002 and refitted Liaoning).
all taken at the same altitude in GE of course.

I don't know, both docks are comparable in width, the JNCX dock seems slightly wider. But then I think it would be unlikely that the Type 003 would take up the entirety of the yard in its construction.

I saw this posted a few days ago but I didn't want to repost it here, because I didn't think it was reliable enough to share.

The news is from someone who claims to have been the first to share news of the 002 under construction. That being unverifiable, there isn't anything to prop up this guy's credibility.

In fact, it was also only a few days ago that fzgfzy commented on the 003's progress - Parts are being prepared, but modules still currently do not exist.

That being said, I'd take this 'news' with a handful of salt.
