only one photo of Type 15 tho.
The website also posted a series of 4 photos of Type 15, 3 hours earlier than this one, however immediately deleted the post. I guess the images would be posted again tomorrow, so I'm not showing them right now, in case the reason for delete is related to secrecy.
I will post the new images asap if I see them tomorrow.

Checked various media channels and videos, turns out all 4 images have either already been released or is part of a (blurrer) video. So I'm just posting all four of them here.
Pictures have been denoised and magnified, both for u guys to have larger images and to erase the exif information, in case there's a problem with that being posted on the internet.
No link to source at the moment, I'll provide as soon as it's posted tomorrow.

Nice pics, these tanks deployed in Tibet have more armor than the basic version from a military parade.

And from what I see it looks like Type 15 is a different tank than export market-oriented VT-5.

The concept of Type 15 and VT-5 is similar if not the same, but the devil is in the details.
If based on the looks I'd prefer the VT-5 turret. The hull is a wash though.

Of course, the former is a light tank, the latter a "lightweight MBT".

The armour of the two turrets are very different, the VT-5 has composite armour but the Type 15 doesn't, instead having RHA+ERA/ceramic.

Does it mean the crew can only reload the ready ammo in the bustle from outside the tank? that looks like a potential weak point for me.
Why does that become a weak point?

Loading ammo through the bustle hatch. The third image shows off the bustle overhang nicely.

(Edit limit expired sorry for new post) Besides the crew should be able to reload from inside.

Is that so? the only pictures available are the one showing outside reload, so I'm curious if they can reload it from the inside.

besides,

's a link from youtube about the VT-5 reporting on CCTV. In it, the chief designer(?) stated the envisioned scenario of VT-5 deployment are the areas where heavier tanks have problem with their mobility, including mountainous terrain. I think in that sense the concept for VT-5 is very similar if not the same to Type 15. It's just the PLA might have different requirements compared to what Norinco thinks its foreign customers might want, hence the difference in the concept interpretation and the eventual result.

I actually want to ask why it would be a weak point? My thinking on this, is that if the situation is an engagement then if there are additional shells in the tank turret then they can loaded directly into the gun, otherwise it should be in a relatively safe place to do the reloading/resupplying.

I am not questioning your point, it’s just that I am a little confused why it would be a weak point.
