Rough translation:
MD-22 is a reusable, near space hypersonic technology wide-range test aircraft.
1. Dimension: 10.8m (length) × 4.5m (width) × 1.6m (height), not including landing gear
2. Weight: 1 ton (normal), 4 tons (max takeoff)
3. Load factor: Around 15%
4. Purpose: Usage for a series of technical verifications and in-situ scientific experiments in near space for the plane to and from the sky.
5. Able to combine the usage of different propulsion systems onboard
6. Speed of operation: Mach 0 - Mach 7
7. Able to take off by itself or launched using rocket booster.
8. Max range: 8000 km
9. Has the ability to implement 6g stable disk overload maneuvering flight under moderate and extreme conditions.

Rocket engine?

If they decide to do so this could help prototype a hypersonic fighter aircraft should the news arise.
@siegecrossbow Notice what looks akin to an engine inlet underneath the aircraft body in the 1st photo (as circled in yellow).

Initially I thought that the rectangle right above the rear landing gear from the side view is just the landing gear doors, but turns out that it is actually the air intake inlet for the aircraft.

Therefore, I don't think that the aircraft only has rocket propulsion. A scramjet-ramjet-rocket combined propulsion of some sorts would be more probable.
