For the Record there are a number of BVR antitanks weapons on the market The Spike NLOS, Mavrick and Brimstone as well as a number of developmental programs. Although It might not seem an option attack beyond Visual range is still a capability even when fighting enemys with some air cover. The Trick is too keep your detection signature as small as possible well still getting a lock on the enemy. one of the ways that the new Apache is getting that ability is via a UAV interface in the new block 3 units this means That the gunner will have direct access too A Predator or other UAV asset's targeting and Designating capability's as well as flight control.

I heard that the Apache is upgrading with a new technology that allows it to share information with UAVs and therefore allows it to fight from beyond visual range at the target the UAV is sensing; does the WZ-10 feature that?

I think you are talking about the Apache and the unmanned Little Bird combo where they use Little Bird as the scouting chopper

IMO simply since these were from the first serial block (and as such first PLA regiment -> white numbers) and not from the second block, second unit (-> red numbers).

No He's talking about the block 3 the "Unmanned" Little bird is still not in inventory and targeted too the upcoming army's armed aerial scout.
@ Red Mercury it's hard too fire a mortar form a helicopter.
