Yeah I have never seen on that before, good one.

Those are from 4th Army Aviation regiment right? first operational WZ-10 unit?

If it is true then this HMDS is finaly in operation! great job.

I believe that is the 5th Army Aviation Regiment not the 4th

Huitong's saying

Recent images (March 2012) indicated that a new batch of Z-10s are entering the service featuring better PNVS/TVDS similar to the ones onboard the prototype (S/N LH981xx?), suggesting its underpowered engine problem may have partially been solved.

So are the second batch of production Z-10s finished/starting production then, possibly with revamped WZ-9 engines?

I wonder just how much more capable the AH-64 style optics are compared to the ball turret... They look more badass than the ones we first saw on production Z-10s, but the actual optics windows, especially for the PVNS seem ridiculously small compared to the size of the housing.

And what is that under the hardpoints? fuel tanks?

Huitong's reference to LH981xx is a bit unclear, since it is linked to the prototype, but LH98xxx is 8 Army Avn Regt of the elite 38 GA in Beijing MR, thus a likely recipient of Z-10.

if the first batch they produced 12 WZ-10 attack helicopters, how many do you think will be made for the 2nd batch?
