New HMD.hard to translate since the image are so blurr.try my best,this is third gen. HMD for helicopter pilot offer navigation and night navigation mode, (since there no google ,likely external source).when a target either detected by iRST or radar, info or image automatically injected into helmet screen display to track the target and fire her weapon.

China needs to learn something about design. The thing looks like they just strapped it on to a regular helmet. Yes I know it's superficial but they bother with it in other more pointless areas especially in geo-politics.

I agree with you. It's said to be "helmet mounted aiming/locking device", probably just a modular attachment for regular helmets.

likely new HMS/HMD may already being develop for J-10 and J-11.
the current HMS in PLAAF service is a clone copy of ukraine 's Arsenal HMS first enter serive in the early 80's according to MilTech. the HMS is very rudimentary, the technology is very similiar to your TV remote control.
giving the current technology surely a improve version of HMS/HMD may even already exist

Is this an older photo of the old prototype? The nose camera (?) is still the older version. Anyway, thanks for posting it here!

That's an old pic unless they went back to the old design. Three things I can see besides the old electronics. The second seat cockpit window is smaller like the old, you don't see side directional exhaust, and the underside fin at the rear next to the landing gear is not a horizontal cut to where the new rear landing gear is actually attached.

Ok.... you scare me... how on earth can someone possibly fit so much information into their brain? You seem to know every unidentified vessel, vessel SEGMENTS even and every unit of every arm of the Chinese military.
