Re: Worlds Armed Forces Pictures III

BD, Thanks for posting pix about Cambodian-Thai conflict. For the pix about the Thai troop patrolling the border line, have you notice some men standing beside the road? Who are they? Their uniforms look Cambodian!

Thank you for viewing this popular thread!

In answer to your question...I really don't know:eek::confused:. I just hope that the situation cools down very quickly.

In answer to your question...I really don't know:eek::confused:. I just hope that the situation cools down very quickly.

Though I live in Cambodia, I don't know what exactly happens at the border. Rumors pass everywhere through hand phone's SMS. For example, an SMS that got into my hand phone yesterday said "pls send this news to all ur friend & sb that u knew say the thai black soldiers was fighting back n forced khmer soldiers out from preah vihear this noon. our temple now is under their coverage, damn bloody thai, please pass to all send to friend for information hurry up...", I told my friends not to believe the SMS, 'coz its source is not official nor reliable. Later on another SMS confirmed that the fighting was between the Thai soldiers themselves, not with Cambodian soldiers... None of the both sides wish a fighting.

At first, I supposed that both soldiers guard on each side of the border that's why I was surprised when I saw the pix you post above. But later on many photos and sources confirm that the soldiers of both sides guard, talking, having coffee and lunch together.

However, some of the comments above said that Preah Vihear is 245km north of Phnom Penh, which is wrong. Preah Vihear is the north most province of Cambodia and is more than 500km from Phnom Penh. Please kindly check.
