A French Marine Nationale Sailor signals that a French Marine Nationale E-2C Hawkeye is ready to launch on the flight deck of France’s Marine Nationale aircraft carrier FS Charles de Gaulle (R 91) in the Red Sea, April 15, 2019. The aircraft carriers Charles de Gaulle and John C. Stennis (CVN 74) conducted a cross deck exercise between sailors to increase interoperability between two allied nations. The John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points. International Students Conduct Patrol Riverine Training at NAVSCIATTS, Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS) students participate in a Patrol Craft Officer Riverine (PCOR) training exercise on John C. Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, April 29, 2019.

PCO-R, is an eight-week course of instruction designed to provide international students with the knowledge and skills to operate a riverine patrol craft.

NAVSCIATTS is a Security Cooperation training command operating under U.S. Special Operations Command in support of Security Force Assistance and Geographic Combatant Commanders’ Theater Security Cooperation priorities.

The Naval Special Warfare command has the ability to meet emergent requirements from operational commanders and its training engagement help develop, shape, and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key partner nations.
