I just found this on Youtube. See how they deal with it in India. Should the rest of the world learn?

I was talking to my friend's son last night out at dinner before we went to see the new Godzilla movie. He told me he has a class in high school that's about the Zombie Apocalypse. All they do is discuss and write papers on how to survive the Zombie Apocalypse.

In a bizarre town planning mix-up, a new road in Henan Province, China now has an enormous electricity pylon standing right in the middle of it.
According to local news reports, the road developer planned the route without realising it ran right through the transmission tower, which has been in place since 2007.
The power company and the road developers are currently in talks to resolve the issue, according to local media.

That feeling Of seeing the same thing before...... before

I cannot understand how a project can begin without first acquiring all the right-of-way required to construct a new road or highway. The power transmission line in the middle of the road is unexcusable. I design for public works projects and I have never seen that happen.

I have not see it either here in the US. My best guess is that since the CCP is set on playing The Sims with Real buildings it seems like they just set to build it now fix it latter.

It could also be that the road had to be built “now” and the local comisar said “build it!”.
“But sir there is a power trans………”
“I said build it or I will find someone that can!”

And then you end up with a power transmission line in the roadway.

We all had a good laugh here at the office with this one

I just love the fact that they literally paved to with in inches of the tower and even marked the road like the tower wasn't there.

They're going to have to split the road (forking it) and than merge it again into it's original lane, meaning repaving the road around the tower. That would be the easiest and quickest way to resolve the problem. Looks to me like an authority problem the Highway commissioner and the Utility commissioner not communicating with one another.
