there is aged steaks either Wet or Dry. Dry aging has the meat hung after slaughter in a climet controlled location the aim of that is to use the enzymes in the meat as well as selected fungus to tenderize the flesh and evaporate moisture. The longest that normally lasts is about a month max and that is done at a very high end cost.
There is also Bresaola where the beef is air dried and salted for a few months and of course Jerky which can last a long time but sale of beef form over 40 years ago? Thats got to be dangerous stuff.

I'm now listening to BBC Radio 4 and they were just talking about the possible modernization of the British railway system. A few years ago plans were made to make it fit for the current century and reserved money to do so. It now appears, safely after the election, that the plans are defective, the money is insufficient and there are not enough capable technical people in the country to do the work so for now it will be delayed. Should they ask people will more experience in railways ( not in history time, the British started the railway industry about two centuries ago ), say more relevant experience? The Chinese?

Never gonna happen.

We have the same problem in Canada. Toronto and Montreal are two of the biggest cities in the country and are fairly close together. A high speed rail linking the two cities would be amazing for both tourism and business, yet it still hasn't happened after decades of proposal.

Been to Toronto during the summer before. Pretty good vibe where I stay. Lots of pretty girls. Maple syrup on pancake was a thing for breakfast and I made the mistake of ordering large size which consists of five dinner plate sized pancakes and a jug of syrup - think I skipped lunch all together that day.

Where I live, the LRT system in one town when it was installed sixteen years ago, has been experiencing recurring technical problems from the get go. It was made by Bombardier. Phew!
While the subway system has been dogged with frequent breakdowns and fickle door closings, the honcho is collecting a cool USD1.49m a year.

I went to Seattle's monorail system it's great. I love their Art Deco design look on the car. It travels through the major downtown corridor.

Plus Seattle's light rail system is the best $2.75 I've ever spent getting to my hotel from the airport (SEATAC).
