What a joke! :D Even if that petition is genuine (not manipulated), how would that play out? With nothing new happened since the just finished referendum, what outcome for the a re-referendum would the petitioners expect? Even if the re-referendum has turned the tide to 52 for Remain and 48 for Leave, there will be another re-re-referendum. I really hope people make up their mind, accept the reality and work from there, rather than act like a baby or more like a loosing gambler.

Mr Erdogan spoke of his deep regret for what happened and said he wanted to restore relations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"The letter states, in particular, that Russia is a friend to Turkey and a strategic partner, with which the Turkish authorities would not wish to spoil relations," Mr Peskov said.

Turkey has not yet commented on the Kremlin statement.

Now we have a name of the source and it is official statement.

Just need to hear from Ankara. If I don't hear any denial within a week, I would assume that it is true as this kind of official statement can not be left unanswered.

I know it is not 100% confirmed yet, but I am eager to see how the "tough" guy plays the ball this time after just over half year.

One thing to remember is that the letter was delivered many days ago. Don't know what was happening behind the door these days.

They can always leave. Did China kidnap them and enslave them like the West? I always here how racism against Asians in the US is not serious because Asians weren't forced and they chose to come to the US. Well that logic works here. There was a story a couple months ago where it was charged that China was shipping human meat as food to Africa. They even used a picture from Resident Evil I believe where it showed a processing factory for human meat and said that was China. Isn't that racism? It's racist to say this is racism when that's not.

Foreigners are still relatively rare in China, and when you are a visible foreigner, you will get treated differently. If one doesn't like that kind of experience, then the simplest solution is to not go to China. When a person visits a foreign country, it's up to that person to adapt to the country, not for the country to adapt to that person.
