I know you don't like B21 But B21 is needed.

You mean to keep NorthRupp in Bidnezz?? Remember, building bombers caused Hitler to be defeated?? and the B-21 only carries 1 NUKE, only 1??? I'm still a firm believer in terminal performance, I'm not yet convinced the B-21 will do what its supposed to do? I'm probably wrong, but I don't think so, but I may very well be, but I'm not a believer in the "Batplane", although the B-2 is very cool, very cool...

and thanks again for the like on my post, means a lot coming from one of our most competent posters ever! So what will the B-21 do that I'm missing?? sell me on it Bro!

No Northrop Grumman is doing Okay. B21 is needed because it's meant to partner with your F22 and F35. It's also likely to take mission sets not held by the fighter arm.
And for the record we don't know how many weapons it will carry including nukes.
But with B52 now old enough to collect Social security.
B1B numbers dwindling wearing out.
Neither able to operate in a air denial zone.
Not enough B2 to replace either. We need a penitrating bomber. F35 can't do that mission. It's not supposed to, not designed to.

B21 has longer range meaning it can operate deeper in contested territory.
Can carry more weapons for air to ground or larger ones than F22.
It frees LO fighters to move to air superiority and smaller scale strikes missions where weapons like SDB is better suited.

Farther more it can be used to support other assets. Including your fighters.
The big chinks in our fighters are range and observation. Range as fifth gens can't use drop tanks as freely as fourth gens. And observation because of limits in the size of fighter radars.
In support already incisions has been using B21 to take on some of the Intel gathering missions and ISR. Current platforms doing that would be killed trying to operate as such in A2AD. Although I suspect this is better suited to drones. Some degree of manned is likely.
It also has the size to act as a tanker for F22 and F35 in threat airspace. A KB21 could drag F22 and F35 well still being LO KC135 and KC46 cannot do that.

not sure how they'd get "closer to $800 million" with ARH AAMs (32 VLS cells by the way); 3x3x3 Enterprise radar; CEC
and so on

as I said Thursday at 2:45 PM no surface combatant to be mentioned in a positive sense since the AB class designed before the end of the Cold War!

Why is the ffg(x) program being pursued so early on? Isn't it suppossed to be a successor to the LCS classes Independence and Freedom class?
Or is the final Small Surface Combatant composition suppossed to contain all Freedom, Indep, FFg(x) classes together?

US House votes overwhelmingly to bar US exit from NATO

sounded more like internal US stuff but who knows

Just the newly elected congressional DIM's, pretending to give a rats ass about NATO or the defense of our European Allies. The same strain that stood by and did nothing for the Georgians and Ukrainians, while the Russians took back what they wanted??? the same DIM's who allowed Ambassador Stevens and the three patriots who tried to save him, to be murdered in cold blood...

Yeah, those people who won't build a border wall to defend our own country?? supposedly care about the Defense of the European Union?? NOT

President Trump has stated that we are 100% behind NATO, so those DIM's are just trying to "Grandstand" a little, and give encouragement to those who were offended? when the President insisted we needed more support from member nations....

Yes, some republicans did vote for it, but only those who are pretending to be "bi-partisan"..

As you guessed it is "PURELY POLITICAL", and another way to "back stab" the President, and earn "accolades" from those who are offended when asked to help defend their own nations...

Because LCS was based around an Asymmetric warfare model and is better suited to antipiracy where as the worry of the day is conventional conflict.
As such the want is to get FFG (x) also called Small surface Combatant in the line with first by next year.
not to totally replace LCS but to take on more conventional Escourt and operations.
LCS has been considered a lightweight in the firepower arena vs naval surface, anti air and Anti-submarine warfare.
