The Valley Wildfire in California mushroomed out of control this weekend with gusty hot winds, and has destroyed hundreds of homes and other structures, burning into and through small towns, shutting down highways, and it is zero contained.

Here are several pictures:

The pictures coming out of the Northern California wildfire are heart breaking and also phenomenal. Incredible destruction. Now over 400 homes have been destroyed and that count is going to go much higher.

This is around the Napa Valley in northern California, north and east of San Francisco.

All over America we are praying for cooler weather and rain to help abate the fire, assist the firefighters, and relieve the people.

I have several dozen pictures (and will be adding more) at my:

Very much worth watching. I do not particularly like Jimmy Kimmel or a lot of his innuendo...but I have to say, this was a stand up thing he did. And, the details of the story, tat you may not have heard before, are simply amazing. As I say, this is worth watching.

On the way through Colorado today, as we passed the US Air Force academy north of Colorado Springs, we were treated to a beautiful moon rise.

Then, after sunset, at Pueblo, CO, where we are staying the night, we were treated to the full lunar eclipse tonight, which I pictured with my Canon (old and not too expensive, but it has served me well over the last 15 years):

Wow! The Arkansas - Ole Miss game was one of the best I have watched in a long time. Epic football, back and forth the whole game ties at the end of the 1st quarter, tied at half, tied at the end of the 3rd quarter, and tied at the end of the game, 45 to 45, when Arkansas came back and scored.

Ole Miss scored a TD in OT and then Arkansas had 4th and 25 from the 40. A pass, well short and the receiver literally simply threw the ball backwards as he was going down. It bounced off a Arkansas player's hand and then hopped right to their running back at the 40 and he ran all the way down to the 11 yard line for a 1st down.

Arkansas scored and then went for two to win the game. But he QB was sacked...but wait...he was face masked and they got another chance and went for two again and the QB scored! Arkansas won 53 to 52. If you get a chance to see this game, do so...it would be well worth your time.

See the 4th and 25 with the hail mary lateral video here:

Here's a picture of that lateral:

Here's a picture of the winning 2 point conversion:

105 total points scored. 1,195 total yards of offense!

This guy definitely looks like he can play for the Houston Texans.

Joe Anderson is a wide receiver who went undrafted out of Texas Southern and is now a free agent after brief stints with the Bears and Eagles. Joe Anderson wants a job.

That caption sure is something.

"#NothingWillStopMe Lord it's all in your hands, all I know is that I believe it by faith and see it all happening even when it looks like a joke before the eyes of man! I fill myself with humility and say let your Will be done and use me to allow others to believe in your power!!!! Im not looking at my situation with a worldly mindset and that's what's gonna seperate me my hunger can't be matched my heart can't be compared too, I'm outside the Houston Texans facility every morning, because I kno what type of gift God has blessed me with!!! A lot of people don't really live out the meaning #WhateverItTakes they just sayin it!!! You gotta really live that junk if you say it and believe in yourself and trust in the Lord, and living it don't just mean hold up a sign!! Oh there is much pain behind holding this sign an it's not from bein doubted or the underdog, like how bad do you really want it?? Forget a publicity stunt Boyz is Really HUNGRY out hur dawg to the point if the coach wanna line up I'll route him up too, to the point if it's special teams an the REF get in the way I'll hit him too!! It's something flickering in my head everyday with much Humility and WILL power to go the extra mile when it come to believing in myself and proven all doubters wrongI'm not just chasing greatness for myself/family but for all the people that lack faith and wanna quit and don't believe God still moves, DAWG if you gotta DREAM GO GET THAT!! Let ZERO What If's stand in the way go to the grave on E, not off what someone told you you can't do...Create and tell your testimony don't be ashamed of it, do it all for the glory of the kingdom take yourself outta the picture I'm out here on FAITH, it's bigger than just collecting a check to me straight up! The way I do what I do and why I do what I do isn't just to score touchdowns and gain fame that's far from the case I don't need all that cause I'm already famous in spirit an you can't get no famous than that, when I get my shot you'll see what the Lord is truly about to do in my life and I pray wit all my heart it inspires you to never Give up.When your purpose means more than your situation God will give you favor #TAGandREPOST"

I think he said he'd hit a ref?

Anyway, this is ... one way to do things! There are also, like, agents and stuff, but I appreciate the grassroots campaign even if it kinda crudely appropriates a real thing real people must do to survive. They might not find this clever or inspiring.

Glad he's staying hydrated with that giant bottle of water, though.
