I wonder what kind of operational ranges you get with these UCGVs? Kinda defeats the point if they have to be accompanied by a load of trucks carrying batteries or fuel right near the front line.

The larger UGVs are typically powered by similar engines to manned AFV counterparts.

Considering they are unmanned, I suspect there is probably more space for fuel, and going forwards I wouldn't be surprised if the proper refined UGVs of the near future have superior operational range than manned AFV counterparts of the same size.

They have to be. They don’t have windshields and look too small to carry drivers/passengers.
uhhh no, they have side mirrors so they are definitely manned.

still a very interesting chassis. i guess the PLA is looking to at least motorize its air-assault element. I wonder if these units can sustain beyond 24 hrs in an operation.

The same ATV chassis has also been adapted to unmanned platforms, or at least that's the intention because I haven't seen photos of actual vehicles except this scale model.

Wonder if one day on the battlefield UGVs from both side will be sent out to no-man's land to broker truces and ceasefires.

Anything that require signature(s), signed sealed and delivered, will still need to be done by a real person to represent the respective belligerent.

If the battlefield be truly unmanned, then it'll be "till both sides broke all their toys", just like the old days.

No doubt each side would need a protocol droid to broker a ceasefire.
