Unmanned Combat Ground Vehicle

In an urban warfare, a smart general would use these drones as ISR purposes and see through wall.
Send several of these robots to scout, serve as front line while the troops follow from behind. It will be a multi layered ISR if you included satellite and ISR air drones.

Same thing as how you fight underwater warfare.. Send several submarine drone to scout first.

Because you always need a man in the loop. I don't think China is ready to take that step where giving autonomous robots the ability to self identify targets and kill potentially non-combatants without someone controlling the robot. So someone will always need to be somewhat close to control it since reception in a combat environment is bad.
The bot literally has a gun attached, and I think it is operated by human anyways.

That's what I mean, man in the loop. It will need people to control it hence why there will always be people relatively close. I would not be surprised if in these PR shots the robot controller is literally just sitting next to the camera.

PR shot or not is besides the point. I am saying for dangerous stuff in general it should be all remote controlled bots. 3 bots breaching a door way, humans for follow up.

The answer is that all current "robot dogs with guns" demonstrated across the world so far, including the one in the relevant clip are rather rudimentary, primitive and small, and current tactics training and procedures are not even able to properly grapple how they can realistically be implemented in a proper manner for something like urban breaching (let alone other purposes).

Given the very rudimentary and simple way in which gun equipped robodogs are arranged these days, it is no surprise that for a PR clip it makes sense that they wouldn't think too deeply about seriously integrating it into an exercise.

This is the equivalent of using a DJI Phantom 2 vision+ carrying a small grenade with duct tape and a wire with hook in terms of sophistication, because the technology is still primitive and new. It will take time for more refined and "common sense" TTPs to come out... if they even emerge at all.

Tbf a UAV with a grenade is infinitely more useful than a robot dog, despite them being much hyped for whatever reason, I can't see what this thing can do that a FPV with a explosive payload won't.

How about an UAV strong enough to carry one hypersonic missile. once it fired the missile, it will automatically fly back to its base. hundreds of these UAV can challenge carrier group

A hypersonic missile with a jet engine and wings that can be jettisoned?

Not drop. Launched from the UAV. Need an UAV that can carry heavy payload. Since these missiles are heavy, Carry one hypersonic or YJ18 is enough.
I found this useful since it doesn't put 055, bomber or fighter jet at risk. They can be acted as first line of offense.
