Prime Minister Liz Truss pledged a 3 percent increase to UK military spending, Chair of the Defence Select Committee Tobias Ellwood has commented that the UK should "double the size of the navy". He says the UK military needs "greater force presence" to be able to patrol the South China Seas on a "regular basis". He also touched on the reduction of F-35's, he would like to see the numbers reversed.

Tobia's expressed his dissatisfaction with AJAX and BOXER APC procurement in his own words about boxer is that "it's not tracked and hasn't got a big gun on the top and that changes how you do land warfare". He said the UK need to reconsider how they fight tank warfare with the threat of UAV's increasing on the modern day battle field.

Liz Truss merged the Armed Forces and Veteran Minister Roles. Tobias commented expressing "I don't understand why the two have been merged other than the fact we're loosing a minister of defense in a whole or that they're creating another role where else".

She also announced a £150 billion package for helping the people to weather (sic) off the high energy prices.

"Great" Britain is going for a speedrun towards irrelevancy but sure, lets patrol the SCS lol

USNI shared some interesting details on the propulsion casualty suffered by Prince of Wales. It is classified as “major damage”. After all the issues they’ve had with the Daring class destroyers, this does not inspire confidence in UK’s engineering.

The Royal Navy said a connection in the starboard drive shaft that links the carrier’s prime movers to the props failed, resulting in major damage to the propulsion system.

Royal Navy divers have inspected the starboard shaft of the ship and the adjacent areas. And they have confirmed that there is significant damage to the shaft and the propeller, and some superficial damage to the rudder, but no damage to the rest of the ship,” Royal Navy Rear Adm. Steve Moorhouse said in a video posted on Twitter last week.
“Our initial assessment has shown that a coupling which joins the final two sections of the shaft has failed. Now this is an extremely unusual fault, and we continue to pursue or repair options. We’re working to stabilize the shafts section and the propeller, after which the ship will return to Portsmouth. The ship will then probably need to enter a drydock as this will be the safest and quickest way to affect the repairs.”

Britain has claimed that China has "opened unofficial police stations in London as part of a growing network of Communist Party-linked offices". The purpose of these foreign Chinese police stations according to the report are for "hunting down and blackmailing Chinese citizens to force them to return home". The report further goes onto say China has "54 overseas police service centers around the world" and that this is part of Beijing seeking to expand Chinese powers abroad.

The original idea of the overseas policing effort by China was originally "an effort to target telecom fraud abroad". These accusations arouse after the case of "China using Interpol to target dissidents and political opponents based in Britain"(second source). The report wraps up with the statement of "There is no evidence the police stations have been used for this purpose".

I'm very sceptical of this claim. If it's true the pilot needs to be grounded and never let near a plane again. Has that happened? So far the only person to be disciplined was the person who leaked the video (probably a disgruntled aircrew who was unhappy that he/she was being blamed for the crash).

More likely, the F-35B is an underpowered jet and they overloaded it.

Why is it the pilot's fault? It is that of the ground crew who should do the check.

Well, technically a lot of the dissidents do commit fraud by repeating the claim that China should be collapsing by XXX date for UK government money.
