No room for radar it seems.
Electronics unit for Karat might be behind the imager and not below

I doubt that, the image needs to be mirrored to the thermal imager below it, it isn't a direct sight. Also that Kizilelma carries the "S1" mark meaning the first serial production.
Indeed, but I am sure that they won't remove the radar.

Didn't notice the S1, nice find

I find it weird how the Turkish MIC uses a separate housing for the A2A IR detector. I guess it would result in a longer sensor range. But I wonder its impact on RCS and aero. Other countries not using such a solution raises suspicions in me.

With these encasements, you need to have a different mirror assembly. Which makes putting 2 different IR bands in a single housing not effective. Thus if you want to have both LW and MW sensors, it would be better to have 2 different assemblies instead of 1. Karat is LW and Toygun is MW.

It's difficult to cram in 3 different senors to cover the SW, MW and LWIR spectrum into one small package. Toygun is supposed to have both MWIR and LD/LR. Besides, LWIR has superior detection capabilities vs the others. This arrangement isn't much of a deal on a big twin engine fighter, but on a single engine lightweight drone, it is.

Think Karat of an upside down J-20 IRST.

MKE really is quite shamelessly copying and unnecessarily intruding in other business sectors while failing in their core capacity, producing arty munitions and barrels. They have hybridized/electrified an old M60 for whatever purpose. Just stick to the Firtina man.

They are all guilty to some degree (Roketsan comes in at a 2nd place) of copying and too much diversifying. Unless it is a critical sector, they should focus on their core competencies.
