Aimee P. Burnett, Vice President of Aircraft Strategy and Business Development at Lockheed Martin, made statements about Turkey's procurement of 40 new F-16 Viper aircraft.

Burnett said the factory is in the final stages of achieving its goal of increasing the production rate to four aircraft per month, and currently has a “queue” of 122 aircraft for a total of six countries. It will take three years to complete delivery of these 122 aircraft.

If the contract is further delayed and new orders are placed in the meantime, the delivery time for the first Turkish F-16 Viper will be further delayed.

Although a final decision has not yet been made, the F-16 Viper fighter jets requested by Türkiye are expected to be produced at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) facilities in Türkiye..

Istif class grows to 12 ships...

I thought this amendment was for the weapon and sensor systems for ships 4-8, but instead it seems to be for an additional order of +4 I-class frigates.

MİLGEM contract worth 421.5 million euros from ASELSAN! In the MİLGEM Combat Systems Contract, a contract amendment was signed with TAIS Joint Venture and STM Business Partnership, and MİLGEM 9-12 ships' combat systems and payloads were included in the contract.

It's MILGEM 9 to 12 or Istif 5 to 8. So it should be 'MILGEM grows to 12 ships'. But Hisar class OPV is basically also part of MILGEM so take the nomenclature with a grain of salt.

~105 million euro's per ship for the Radars, ESM, ECM, CIWS, IRST, EO, RCWS, FCS, sonar, seekers for the Atmaca, radio's etc etc.

The Turkish Defence Industry Agency (SSB) announced the start of serial production of Altay tanks.

Of the first batch of 250 Altay tanks to be produced, 85 will use South Korean power systems, while 165 will use Turkish-designed and developed engine and transmission systems.

Türkiye will use South Korean systems as an interim solution until Turkish engines and drivetrains are developed.

Altay is a modern battle tank equipped with powerful armament, including a 120 mm 55 caliber main gun, a remote weapon station with a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun and a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun.

Designed by Türkiye, Altay weighs 65,000 kg and has an operational range of 500 km.

The tank is equipped with a 360-degree situational awareness system that provides a comprehensive and detailed view of its surroundings.

With the ceremony held on April 23, 2023, the first 2 New ALTAY Tanks were delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces to be used in qualification tests.

Within the scope of the project, the ALTAY Tank has been renewed in accordance with the conditions of the modern combat environment since its first prototype. many subsystems have been indigenized.

ALP-310G, derived from the ALP-300G, is capable of supporting missile guidance. And that for an S-band radar:

At the delivery of the Alp-300G radar, the CEO of Aselsan claimed that it has superior range, accuracy and resolution compared to its foreign counterparts. Combined that with its ability to guide SAMs while being an S-band radar, raises the chance that the Kaan will have a dual band S/X band radar according to some rumors.
