The more I think about this Trump/Jesus image, the more utterly unhinged it appears. I think it crystalizes the sheer insanity of the Trump regime more than any (geo)political or economic act ever could, because the latter are generally open to some kind of rationalisation, however tenuous. The only justification I've seen for this picture is that Trump is trolling. But trolling who? His Christian nationalist base? Catholics (seem to be his current target)? How will catholics Vance and Rubio take it? Vance has his own electoral mandate but difficult to see how Rubio can continue working for this regime.

If Rubio wants to run in 2028 he needs to start disassociating himself from the Trump regime ASAP. This image + dissing the Pope are just the excuse he needs.

Well JD vance did kill the last pope (Francis) so I guess he can be used as leverage by Donald Trump.
