This is why I said I like your optimism. You don’t see the reality of the situation at all. The greatest wealth machine is about to have a break down and you are all smiles.

You bring up the past but that was a time when America was still a robust economy with a massive middle class able and willing to spend, as well as being the most advanced without equal. That America doesn’t really exist anymore. The middle class is disappearing like an endangered species, personal debt has skyrocketed and the only thing keeping everything afloat is the fact that USD is still reverse currency and even that is slowly but surely being eroded. Smart people won’t be waiting for the tickle down sure, but their so called opportunities will require people who depend on the tickle downs, so they can afford to buy products and services.

Adding to all this, is the introduction of AI, meaning jobs from all corners will start to disappear too. This won’t only affect the US either. Furthermore, with the current US policies a lot of people in other countries are already shunting US products wherever possible, you might think boycotts won’t last but that’s only true when there is truly no comparable alternatives. Case in point, why did Trump cave on the Chinese tariffs, because there are no comparable alternatives, at least not yet or for the foreseeable future.
The standard disclaimer you see when it comes to investing is past returns are not an indicator of future results.

This is put so guys don't get sued. It's one way that scammers protect themselves when they say this has to be good since it worked before and then it doesn't work.

Trump definitely reacting the the TACO smear. He just chickened out on 50% tariffs on the EU then the TACO arrived. To make sure the EU doesn’t take advantage because of the TACO, he brings up China because it’s the biggest TACO of his to show the EU not to count on the TACO. He can’t return to the 245% tariff because all of the US will collapse without China. So he goes after Chinese student Visas which uneducated MAGAts stupidly believe is huge leverage against China. Another big TACO of his is Nippon Steel buying US Steel to which he adamantly said he wasn’t going let happen… but now has to which now is being reported he thought it up as he were on the podium not telling to anyone before as he were TACOing over the US Steel sale.

went to the white house to negotiate and kinda plead with Trump, and now he is the first to want to join the US golden dome system before any other US ally.
I must have missed the part where Carney pleaded with Trump and asked to join the golden dome?

Trump is the only one who said Canada wanted to join. Do we take his word as gospel? If you do, then I've got a bridge to sell ya.

No one in Canada said they can avoid the US completely, that's not rational, but before trump, Canada was very deeply integrated as all aspects, and even in public opinion to a large degree.

Now there are open discussions on how to be less reliant on the US over time. That would have been unthinkable a year ago, but now is considered vital for any long term business or national policy. So you might feel Carney is begging but most Canadians don't see it that way, except for mini MAGAs, who lost the election in the biggest political rout in Canadian history.
