They’ve been feeding the Donald bogus feel good rubbish based on FLG and Chinese liberal propaganda, which culminated in a massive humiliation when the regime folded post Liberation Day on the 145 percent China tariffs. They are lucky that they only got fired instead of a one way ticket to South Sudan.

They kept Pottinger while firing everyone else...? Just imagine what they were like. The problem is Trump. He picked as many extreme anti-China hawks he could find because he thought he could scare China into submission. He certainly wasn't going to pick anyone China respected because that would be a negative on negotiations for the US. Problem was all the China haters aren't chiseled-jaw supermen types. You tend to find them to be people with personal problems of their own. Like they eventually get arrested for child molestation. Yeah I notice that happens.

Didn't realise Matt Pottinger was back.

Before, he had the decency to resign after Trump ordered his goons to physically take over Capitol Hill and stop the election being "stolen". Remember the only way of doing that would be to kill the certifying Congressmen and Senators... which includes the Republican Vice-President Mike Pence.

So Trump forgave Matt Pottinger for that disloyalty?
And Pottinger is okay with Trump trying a coup attempt?

I'm just re-reading Pottinger's foreign affairs essay (below) from last year, and much of it is delusional or factually incorrect.

If anything, when historians write the history books, they may write that the Chinese Century began in 2025...
