OMG! It must be a huge blow to China that it isn't getting superior American cars anymore. How will China survive without American car brands? Sounds about right because we can assume based on how the US is supposed to be number one in everything. Never mind that China is destroying the US car industry without selling a single car in the US. That's how important export markets are to the US car industry because their normal export markets are more and more choosing to buy Chinese. It wasn't mentioned so it can't be true because the US media always tells you the whole story.

Just like the story that Apple is making all iPhones for US consumers in India. It doesn't mean all iPhone production is moving to India. The US media said that when Biden was President and then when Trump became President, 90% of iPhones still were made in China. It's just the ones for the US. But they assume it means all production. Just like Tesla makes most of their profits from the Shanghai plant which exports most of their Teslas out from there.

SHEIN did lower prices. Tariffs are also factored into their prices. It was a bit of deceptive marketing when SHEIN said customers won’t be charged extra for tariffs.

But if prices have only gone up 10%, how are they managing the rest of the tariffs.

I don't understand, SHEIN makes dirt cheap clothes, these aren't the high paying jobs that you want to return back to US.

Instead, you want to return the semiconductor, laptops, electronics, phone jobs back to US, which ironically are exempt from US tariffs entirely.

Of course, Trump doesn't actually care about returning high-paying jobs to US at the end of the day. It's looking to score cheap political points to look "tough" on China, while screwing over the middle-class in the process with a regressive tax hike.

It's not deceptive just because a Chinese company can write better English than you can read.

Just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean that asking again will make it change. No Chinese company has any reason to be honest about the value of package contents. The value is also not the MSRP but some cryptic bulk sale or production price or however you want to figure it is. Things are declared to be worth pennies and their tariffs are a couple more pennies and everything moves along. Even when you're honest with US port authorities, they just tell you to move it along and they don't wanna be mathin' today because the "computer" is down LOL
