75 countries have called. Want to negotiate. Have not retaliated.

At a minimum they going to drop some if not all of the tariffs against US products.

So with some simple threats, America gave up nothing, likely getting some tariff relief, and got half of the world to the negotiating table.

So yea. Pause the tariffs.

Oh remember I said how they going to “work” on China as a group.

Don't get into the hype too much. Trump has, and is dealing tremendous damage to the US.

Some people are happy for his casino inside-trading stock market shenanigans because they are benefitting. Real economy stuff, he is doing a disaster class

Have not negotiated and did not give anything or for SURE, Trump would announce it.
So with some simple threats,
You losers threatened your own lackies and henchmen LMFAO. That's like kicking your own dog, and you did it in rage because you couldn't properly contend with your real foe, China.
America lost nothing,
Except the respect of the whole world. See what Canada thinks about you now. You might think this is over and you can move onto China, but the Canadians, their stores still have empty places with signs that say, "Buy Canadian, NOT American."

You see that headline, when he says that he did this because of China's "disrespect?" His stupid mouth just told the whole world, all the little guys out there who never thought they'd have to face down the US that China won that battle for them and China's going to keep fighting for itself.
likely getting some tariff relief,
Which you imagined
and got half of the world to the negotiating table.
Generally, talking's free anyway
So yea. Pause the tariffs.
Yea my ass. You wanted to hold them all to individual talks to scalp them one-by-one. Instead he let them all go cus they tanked the US market together. Trump tried and he failed, like always. And you're moving the goalpost, like always for Trump supporters.

Japan signed the plaza accord.
First of all Japan lost a war, unfair deals are kind of par for the course, so this is irrelevant to the discussion

Germany and EU literally sabotaged their own economies when we told them to get off of Russian gas, cut Huawei, Chinese investments, etc…..
At this point in time, they were still viewing the US as an ally, and an important distinction here is that the US was a reliable ally. The reliable part is now basically gone

Korea sharing semiconductor trade secrets with U.S. because we asked.
Again, reiterating, at that point in time a reliable ally. Plus, share secrets of the present pretty much means nothing for an industry like semiconductors, by the time those trade secrets can be implemented, thing would have moved on.

So yea, they coming to kiss the ring soon. One by one. Win after win. Just by getting them to drop tariffs is already a win.
Sure, they probably would be making deals but so what? Not like the deals will mean anything, since the US has shown it will just rip that up like nothing. Whatever deals that will be cut the US will probably have to breed some.

So with some simple threats, America lost nothing, likely getting some tariff relief, and got half of the world to the negotiating table
I like how you think but the important part here is threats, the views on the US have been deteriorating for some time and pulling this sh*t, things are not going back to status quo. The US had the most important weapon over China, which was trust, the ROW didn’t trust China and they at least trusted the US but now that it’s gone, I think you will find out that just because they are there to negotiate, the negotiation will not be anything like before. The likelihood of de-risking will be extremely high, make money now while planning a way out, that would be in the forefront of everyone’s mind.

To reduce the trade deficit, tariffs were imposed on everyone → China retaliated → The costs proved unsustainable → Tariffs were lifted for all except China → Transit trade continued as usual → The trade deficit remained unchanged.

I really can't understand what Mr.President's big plan really is. What't the point?
I think the point was to tariff China, and also to put tariffs in place for everyone else. With the pause, everyone will sigh in relief and resume trade but now regardless of where anything comes from, the US gov will be making money from it.

Quite ingenious but the likelihood of long term investments from some places is basically done. There is no way to invest multi billion on something so inherently unstable.
