China do have comprehensive basic social welfare like pension, unemployment and health care and cheap housing in fact housing is free for the poorest mostly ethic people .But the quality depend on locality . Rich urban has better health care compare to poorer country side
The reimbursement rate vary from 60 to 80%. The problem is everybody want the best for health service and the best health provider are in the city clogging it up with patient from countryside

There is effort to improve the health care in country side but it will take many years

The problem is Chinese registration system to held people prisoner to their registration and the benefit is depending on where you are register. It is unfair system to prevent China urban city from inundated by slump dweller. But in recent year it has dismantle in tier 2,3 or 4 cities

There is program now to move whole village from in hospitable area into more amenable area to better serve the villager with modern services like school.electricity,water and road

It is investment driven.

Trump obviously played Xi like a Fool on the NK issue. Trump so called "Personal Friendship" duped Xi and made Xi went along on the NK issue and sanctioned NK hard and made NK kind of capitulated. Trump told Xi if China willing to help out on NK issue, he might look over China's trade issue. Xi bited on that. It's quite gullible, really

As soon as NK went soft and willing to meet Trump, Trump did a 180 turn and ditched China aside. And Trump launched a trade war against China.

Xi got played like a rookie, and got duped.

But he recognized this and quickly rectified his mistake.

His successive meeting with Kim and now all the trade with NK resurrected and more. Now anything goes between NK and China border. Xi would not care if NK if stay nuke armed.

Qualcomm and NXP deal was approved by China regulator initially but Xi turned it down personally.

This is getting personal between Xi and Trump.

Trump still calling Xi as friend and great admiration for him. Xi now totally disgusted by it.

It's like Trump saying something nice and then followed by something vicious and stabbing someone at the back.

Xi will have no part of that trickery.

Xi determines to personally revenge and strip Trump naked.


People thought Xi would thank Trump on ZTE issue but Xi think Trump is a highway robber on this case. ZTE already laid $900 million last year and now had to paid another $1billion plus $400 million in escrow. Xi initially only willing to negotiate additional fine of $500 miilion. That's way too greedy on Trump part.

On trade war, Trump orders China to purge US Semiconductor tech in China in few yrs time.

Xi will support Iran greatly to lessen Trump sanction on Iran and also supply anti stealth radar and J31 to Iran to help it defend against US.

Xi is a very revengeful guy if he thought someone wronged him. Look at how he purged all his competitors inside China, Bo xilai, zhou yungkan, etc

Trump's escalating tariffs in bigger numbers made Xi even more determined and irate. He personally said that he will teach Trump a painful lesson for being a Bully.

It's getting very personal now between Xi and Trump.

Actually, not really. Trump made Xi and offer and it would have been foolish not to explore it. Now that it's been shown to be empty and that the American government's (not just Trump's) word is worthless under the current administration, Xi dismisses every subsequent offer. That is precisely how a leader should behave.

Base on your explanation, Xi should respond by saying: Oh well, no banana this time, we will have better luck next time. And that guy is a bad guy, we not gonna trust him no more.

You should know the word personally doesn't refer to me and him but rather just himself and what he said has leaked out .

No, that's the exact opposite of what I said. What I said was that Trump should have been given one chance to prove that he can keep a deal he makes with China. Even if we know he'll betray China's trust, it's necessary for the narrative that negotiations be given a chance so that China can claim the moral high ground in the trade war. It might not seem important now, but when this war really bites China will be able to remind everyone (its own people most of all) just who is responsible for it.

Now that America (not just Trump) has shown that it can't be trusted, no more deals.

What's the source of these leaks? Is it credible? I would love for that to be Xi's attitude about this, so I want to know if these rumours have any weight.

What this thread is about this not China in general, but a very strong Xi footprint. Alot of Chinese officials want to capitulate to Trump blackmail but Xi with his very strong Maoism spirit determines to fight back.

I read Chinese and watched Chinese program and picked it up there. All the manifestations of Xi working and footprint is there. There's no article I can link you up. If you don't believe it just ignore it.

I really hope so.

China seriously needs to strike back ASAP, before American assets in China - the fifth columnists, traitors and defeatists, can cause more damage.

If China supplies Iran, and weights additional support behind Russia and NK, this would be a good way to bring the fight to them.
