I guess having this kind of option is nice for china, but how does the pla plan to counter ISTAR from roc allies? ukraine gets all its targeting data from her allies, would this kind of scenario play out in taiwan too?
For awacs that flies from say Okinawa, I think we're gonna be seeing the PLAAF aggresively jamming them (or use other ways to mess with those planes short off shooting them down).

For satelite data, it depends on how well the PLA can disrupt data in and outflow of Taiwan.

I wonder if starlink would have a pivotal role in this kind of scenario; how is it faring in ukraine btw?
It’s hard(if not impossible) to jam starlink because of its working band and phase controlled array antenna. China can destroy those satellites anyway, but that should be another story about a full scaled space war. Maybe they can detect and destroy ground terminals with some kind of SIGINT capacity that Russia lacks, but I’m not sure.

Knockout the power grid and good luck getting the terminals to work.
And like any emitting antenna it can be tracked.
Basically starlink is a peer of LPI datalinks used in aircrafts such as F35 and F22, which is not easy to be tracked.
