The War in the Ukraine

Mostly, Russia attack targets that influence the frontline and don't brag about it, Ukraine attack targets for PR stunts.... and brag about it.

I don't see fails from any sides when they do a standoff strike correctly but one side dance and start the PR stunt while doing it and the other don't. So Ukraine have PR stunt victories and Russia have progression on the front...
I think Russia wants to procure a functional Ukraine and not a barren wasteland (like today's Gaza), so the occupation in the future is easier and the country is still operable. Otherwise, they could've leveled Kyiv within a week and left a cesspool of extremists operating out of rubble right next door to themselves, playing an unwinnable game of cat & mouse guerilla warfare. That means the targets are restricted to mostly military equipment and units, and not civilian infrastructure, the destruction of which would leave the cities totally destitute and useless.

There were 3 patriot batteries delivered.
A sampt battery, a dozen or two other medium range systems were delivered.
And whatever number of various frankensam batteries established. (Could be half a dozen so far?)

How would they have levelled Kiev exactly... nuclear?

And how much munitions are the Israelis using there? In fact, even in Gaza the Israelis are trucking in explosives to plant on the ground for thorough demolitions. And buildings in Gaza were not built to Soviet standards, which are notoriously hardy.

It would be prohibitive for the Russians or indeed anyone, to seek to raze a massive former soviet city like Kiev via aero bombing.

But the point is you don’t need to literally raze every building in a city to effectively destroy it. Cities are only cities because of the people living in them. If the Russians really were bloody minded enough, they can easily make Kiev unliveable for the vast majority of the population by systematically targeting key life sustaining infrastructure like power, water, heating and food distribution etc.

Other than power, the Russians have not made any attacks against such life-sustained infrastructure, and it would be a stretch to think why they would start now.

Yes, the Moscow terror attack was a major escalation and blow, but the Russians have shown a lot more restraint than say the Israelis thus far, just look at how they have not answered like-for-like despite all the terror shellings of the Donbas and even Russian bordering cities. As such, I don’t see why the Russians would go all Israeli on Ukraine now.

To be fair, with newly reached glide bomb production levels, it's actually getting achievable.
When butst bomb delivery capability will exceed 1000-1500 bombs/day for a single direction w/o deprieving others (sustainable for at least a week) - technical capability will be there.

Same capability is also a major checkpoint for us to understand if and how flawed are mechanized warfare models - because there we'll get close to WW2 offensive CAS efforts.

As long as they have secure perimeter, they will have time to deploy as many salvage attempt as they want. I would expect about 2x BREM vehicles to tow the hulk, and maybe some heavy lifting crane to get the hulk to the train car to Russian heartland.

They will have almost complete collection of current Leopard 2 tanks minus the latest 2A7 and A8. They will have complete picture of the Tank's armor development in almost chronological manner (A4-A5/6-strv122) Also have Abrams to compare.

Comment says FPV drone but this looks too fast to me to be one. This appears like a Krasnopol strike on a Ukrainian tank on a forest. An Orlan-30 doing the lasing.

Thing is, unless the booster is meant to go hypersonic with rest of the missile, I doubt the metallury will be required to be the same at all. Seems like a waste of resources.

If anything, you could get estimated firing time and maybe the weight of the missile it is boosting

Sure, but when you have zero information about something, anything that can deduce actual performance will give you more information.
