Nethappy are you in the PLA? It sounds like you are.

Roger, I agree. I'm certain that the PLA (that includes PLAAF and PLAN) has a (or more) secret project that would increase their capabilities .For example, the US had the stealth figter but kept it secret for a while. Personally, I think its a missle.

I am not working for the PLA but they are our client.
Personally I dun mind the PLA having a few thousand T-80 and 90.
More Tank = More spare parts.
More Spare parts = more order for anti corrosion storage material.
More order = More commission
More Commission = more $$$ for me.

HAHA :eek:ff

P.S if you see any PLA tank we a whitish elastics cover or Spare part wrap in black bag (it not rubbish bag dun get it wrong) it call intercpet technogly.

Secret talk about secret, there is a billion restricted in any one of there base , any non PLA personally will have a PLA escorts at all time even when you going to the toilet (they stand guard rite outside your toilet block) but this it all nomarlly it will happen in any country. Every country with have there on secret project. But it just how long can people not talk is how long it remain secret and the PLA have a very nice way of keeping people mouth shut.

The PLAAF inventory of 2010

The possible future airforce of China in 2010. This includes transport aircrafts, helicopters, fighters, etc. Also the number of the older aircrafts in the PLAAF inventory in 2010. This post is to put your opinion of the possible Chinese airforce of 2010.

This is kind of like 2015, but for 2010. So, I just merged the two threads.

But for what China will have in 2010?
My personal opinion for transports.
no idea how many Y-8 and Y-9 they will have
Not sure how long it will take to implement the IL76/78 contract. But suppose it's implemented, then you have 8 IL-78 and 50 IL-76.
With possibly 15 KJ-2000 converted, so 35 IL-76 left for transport.
Hoping for some An-124 or a production of An-70, but I'm doubtful.
possibly 10 KJ-200 and another 10 Y-8 surveillence craft of different variety serving under plaaf arm.
helicopters? none, all the naval ones are serving under PLANAF and all the remaining ones are serving with the army aviation.
fighters?
I'd say around 300-350 J-10. So, that will be approximately 12-14 regiments (including the one FTTC regiment). I'm thinking there will be some modified "stealthy" J-10s in prototype by then, but probably not certified.
Still the 78 su-30mkk and about 180 su-27sk/ubk/J-11.
probably 50 J-11B, so two regiments.
J-11BS will probably in similar status as the modified J-10, not yet certified
around 100-120 JH-7A, so 4 to 5 regiments.
J-8F/H - 200? (8 regiments)
J-7E/G - 300? (it mentionned 48 G and 263 E on huitong's site)

Did you guys watch the "Vertical Strike" (垂直打擊), a PLA movie, shown on CCTV2 recently? The Z-15 (if i'm not wrong) is extensively shown in this movie.

Well, you guys can't just say that the PLA is doing so good with "good training". They're doing so good because of their education. Th reason why the Chinese weren't so caught up with technologies was because that went through many tough situations like the Cultural Revolution, when at times money were short.

Now that the Revolution is over, China can finally take its stance and use their budget on social and economic reforms, such as new textbooks, better education, etc. I couldn't believe this, until my cousin came from China, that her math level was much more higher than mine, and we were only a year apart. She explains to me that China's education system starts with Algebra in 7th grade, and I was in Pre-Algebra then.

I thank the China's improved schooling system, which makes a new China, thinking away from the full-of-poverty China. Because of this school system, it is why China's technologies is doing so well.

All you guys have to remember that China growing technology and sophistication isn't all the China has on its shoulders. They still have the burden of poverty on their shoulders towards the west of China where it is poor. Though China is what seconds richest in the world they become poor by feeding their large population. Eg: $10/2 people in small countries government gets $5 person who getting fed gets $5. China $10/10 government gets $1 and the people get $1 each. This is not accurate but a rough example of demonstration. China is doing exceptionally well in housing 1/8.5 of human kind.
