This needs to be a 24 episode anime in the style of MyGO. Like those videos people made back when J-36 had her maiden flight, except this time all the characters are 4th gen and 4.5 gen fighters.
This kind of reads almost like it is like air-to-air-porno style of writing.

Any posts pistons how great the J-10 is, that was designed by CATIA and so an, how stupid some Indian claims are and so on are IRRELEVANT!
I think we should either concentrate on the topic - namely the conflict - or do not post if it does not contribute in any way!

The standard lay out is seeker head at the front, then behind is the computer/avionic. The warhead would be behind the seeker head and computer.
On open source AIM120 schematic, the warhead seems to be located around mid section. But given PL15 is both longer and bigger, chances that the wreckage recovered has exploded. The Indians could possibly study rocket motors and controls actuators though.
