The future type 54's

anyone got information on any future type 54's? im sure the pla will try to build more advanced varients in the future?
any info, stats, and model pics of future type 54's are welcome.

054A should be the one under construction right now. It should be similar to 054 in design, but it should be equipped with better missiles (HQ-16 instead of HQ-7) and probably YJ-62 instead of YJ-83. They even had a picture of 054B on CDF as while back. Check their 054 thread.

work will probably begin in o6. thats whern china supposed to recieve its shtill missles. the will be done by 08.

if you checked china defense's blog lately, they are starting construction of a new ship in Shanghai. People speculate it's 054A.

Why do they have a 054 and a 054A? Wouldn't it be more logical to just have a 054A and an 054B?

No way in heaven is China going to put the YJ-6 series back onto ships.
The 6 indication instead of 4 means that the YJ-62 is now airborne.
And that thing is slow and bulky, best for LACM, but not ASM.
