one making comments like these should keep his mouth shut...I personally have lots of experience in russian military hardware (touhg not tank-upgrading kits) and they have my vote...i would put my life depending on those...exspecially for kalashnikoviks and D-30s...now on what experience makes you say that quoted above?

it looks to be a independent commanders viewer on maybe "white hot" but its hard to tell. even on my M1A1 we did not have a flat panel thermal display. pretty cool. wish I could see the top of the turret......cheers ute. wait a minute it might be on "black hot" its hard for me to tell.

The T-72/80 is fundamentally a bad design. In tank engagements from Lebanon to Iraq the T-72/80 base design has proven itself to be a “bad†tank especially in terms of crew survivability. Even the most modern Russian version have been successfully killed by Chechen terrorist using older ATGW like saggers. The kills by Chechen terrorist have not just mission killed these T-80’s but actually popped the top using older ATGW. If you look at tank to tank engagements by the Israeli vs. Syria I do not believe there has been a tank to tank kill by a T-72 vs. a Israeli M-60A3 or Merkava. If someone could bring to light a account of a T-72/80 doing well in battle I would love to see it……….cheers ute.

) that seniorboard membership is only due by large ammout of posting and it got nothing to do whit the contest of those posts. Members whit their name painted blue (usually all whit different colour than green are the one's you should really listen) are the true vipmembers, and that level is achived by only by actually knowing something (usually need's some military service experince)...
well i have been inside T-72...but you didn't leave much doupt what the "shit" ment...
anyway, comparing T-72's interiors to Lecler's ones are quite lame as the latter represents 90's technology and the first 70's technology...And russians ARE KNOW of advanced equipment...it just that all that's gold doesen't glitter...like Tolkien wrote...

of couse the russians got advanced equioment. like plasma stealth and stealth aircraft. its just that they dont field this gear. and if they dont feild particularly advanced gear, they defnitly cant sell it. well, the russians are catching up on control-interface, but cant beat the french.
