She was cute and thin. I am very shallow and that was enough for me. Have you seen her in HANDMAIDEN?!

The comparison of SPACE SWEEPERS was with China's WANDERING EARTH. No comparison.

Kim Tae-Ri can be my Captain any time.

Both typical Asian movies... safe. No, I haven't seen Handmaiden. If they don't dub her voice, maybe I'll see what she's made of.

I just watched Wandering Earth again. The first time I saw it was a bad resolution one from the internet. I have to say overall it was superior to Space Sweepers. But once again I believe I mentioned this before when the movie first came out what's more unbelievable than thinking a bunch of giant jet engines can move the Earth is believing the world can get together to do it. All you need is someone like the Texas Governor to doom the Earth.

Star Wars is all about heroism. How 1 man can beat 1 billion men. You see in the Mandalorian episodes how 1 man can kill millions of Stormtroopers easily and basically take over the entire galaxy by himself.

I'm surprised they're letting JJ Abrams do another. The only thing I could see what would be interesting with the Kelvin universe is the different match-ups that could've played out. Like the Dominion and Jem'Hadar being first encountered by Kirk's USS Enterprise crew. But no, clearly Abrams is going by what actor Levar Burton was said to have overheard Abrams say that he wanted only his Star Trek to be remembered. Now word is Abrams is producing the new Superman for Warner Bros. with a black Superman. Funny all the alt-right incel fanboys that have YouTube channels so far are not complaining how woke that is. It's as odd that these very same people will spew such hatred and blame to everyone behind the production of Star Wars except for the one person most responsible for what they're complaining about... JJ Abrams.

Just finished season one Pacific Rim Black. Not bad. Unique to say the least. When I saw a pac rim series on Netflix I was thinking prequel. Could see the first great battles then the fall before the first movie. This is more a sequel to both movies. It’s Australia the Kaiju are back again and well in a nod to that Ausi Mad Max tradition Australia is abandoned. The Black has begun where in Australia is left as a post apocalyptic wasteland dominated by Kaiju and the few humans.
A few Kids, the sons and daughters of Rangers got lost in the fall and spent 5 years in the outback till they stumble on Atlas Destroyer. A stripped down mk3 training Jagger in an abandoned shatter dome. They set out for Sydney hoping to find their parents and get out of the Black. It’s taking some interesting ideas. Fairly short seasons only 7 episodes.

How does a guy like JJ Abrams make it in Hollywood? It's because of nepotism. You need to know people. His father and mother are Hollywood people also. It pretty much shows a lot of luck is involved. People who've heard of IMDB think it's big time if your name is in there. My name is in IMDB and those on the outside who know what IMDB is will say, "Wow! You're in IMDB?" When Ain't-It-Cool was required reading by anyone working in the executive offices of any Hollywood studio, one of the guys writing/moderating on the film fanboy site ain't-it-cool bragged he was on IMBD. I wrote that I'm on IMBD and it isn't that hard. A poster wrote to me how do you get on IMDB? I was about to answer but all conversations about IMDB were suddenly erased and the conversation ended. That's how precious some take it to be on IMDB. I'll say it here. It's been ten years at least since I got on IMDB so the requirements could've changed by now. It's not like anyone can get on IMDB. You or someone you know has to do the work. One of the requirements of how you get on IMDB was you had to have worked on a movie that was shown in a movie theater where people paid money to watch it. People think that automatically means that it has to be a major independent or studio movie. Not necessarily. The trick is film festivals especially short film festivals. If you or someone you know makes amateur movies, it's basically your ticket in. Why? There are a lot of film festivals especially in California. These film festivals need movies to fill their slots in order to have a film festival. How many people in everyday life make amateur movies that tell a story especially ones that are good? Not many meaning a lot these film festivals will allow in the most horrible amateur films you can possibly think of because they need to fill in their slots and not because they're good. A film festival is where an audience pays to watch your movie that you made or helped make being a part of the crew shown on a movie screen... BINGO, you're in IMDB. I've a seen lot bad movies at film festivals and I include the one I worked on. The crew that worked on the movie were professionals. They knew what they were doing. It was the guy I knew beforehand who wrote and directed the movie and the producers who never went to film school that didn't know what they were doing. All you need is you or know someone that can put together some assemblance of a movie and that's enough. The guy I knew that got me in IMDB had a beginning and an end to his movies but didn't think he needed a middle. JJ Abrams knows how to make a beginning but fails at the middle and ending. So does being in IMDB or "in Hollywood" mean you know what you're doing? No.

Anyone watch The Tomorrow War on Amazon Prime? The alt-right fanboys up are up in arms that Chris Pratt, their new Republican hero's movie is getting bad reviews. It deserves bad reviews because the logic is a mess. Don't read any further if you don't want to know what happened. So aliens invade the Earth in the future so they recruit humans in the past to fight in the future. So in the future they come up with a toxin that kills the aliens but they can't manufacture it large amounts so they get Chris Pratt's character to bring in back in the past to manufacture there and when that's done it's suppose to be sent back to the future so they can use it there. Why? There are only 500,000 humans left in the future. The wife comes up with the idea of waiting to use the toxin to prepare when the aliens start their invasion. The thing is they mention they only know the aliens started attacking at this certain year but there was no signs of aliens ships landing or anything. They just showed up. So they figure out that the aliens may have been already on Earth years before where in fact they've been here for thousands of years frozen in ice in a Russian glacier and global warming thaws them out. So they go up there and find the alien's ship and find the aliens in suspension in there pods and they start injecting the toxin and of course they die but the aliens screams as they die wake up all the other aliens in their pods and there's too many so they just blow up the ship. No toxin needed in the first place. Of course in the story this had to happen to lead them to that but a lot of it was unnecessary because the smartest person that figured out most of it was the guy's wife. Of course they had to make a 2-hour movie to fill but it was lazy and it could've been better if it was smarter. I thought it was okay for just a ride movie. No brain cells required.

Another Babylon 5 actor has died... I believe that leaves only Londo Mollari of the OG main cast still alive.

Patricia Tallman and Tamlyn Tomita were also in the pilot as such part of the OG cast both are alive.

Missed AM's post. Sad to hear of her passing. B5 is still by far the best SciFi TV show followed by The Expanse that bumped Firefly down to third place on my list. Anyway, of the remaining notable main actors, Claudia Christian and Bruce Boxleitner are still around.

Of the recurring cast, how could anyone forget Walter Koenig? IMO, brilliant performance of being a villain-ish.
