Who's getting this for Christmas?

Ford is so much more accomplished than Hamil and Fisher. So to him, it's just another movie. Or at least he wants to pretend to not care as much. After all, the Star Wars is Luke's movie. Han Solo is a main character, but still just a main character. The whole series is about Luke Skywalker. So although Ford got famous because of the movies, he is not as attached to the movies as Hamil and Fisher.

So I don't think we should take his behavior as an indication of how much he will be involved.

i just hope this one won't suck like The Phantom Menace.
i don't care for the new characters, i just want to see han solo, chewbacca and the ultra cool millennium falcon, then i will be happy.

George Lucas isn't involved, so your fears are unfounded.

Well JJ Abrams leaves room for some skepticism. They're going to have to move on to the next generation because it's the same answer for some people who are wondering why there's no Lando and that's because of health reasons. Who knows he might show up for a cameo but not for action scenes.

Well my guess based on the trailers and some of the episodes from Rebels. In the trailer Jedi and the Darkside myth and legends are true that sounds like to me the restoration of the Jedi order never happened.(the rest of galaxy may not have even known that Luke, Vader and the Emperor were Jedi and Sith)

Luke might be in seclusion because the galaxy might want to prevent the return of the Sith by letting the Jedi fade out of existence. Or if you have seen Rebels the Empire was building a corp of force sensitive opperatives selected from their teenager Stormtrooper academy. It's possible after the battle of Endor Luke might have tried to find these recruits to make them into Jedi but had to kill them and he may have slipped into the darkside and the only way to stay in the light is to isolate himself until he can figure out how to subdue the darkside. Until he can do that a restored Jefi Order will open the door for another Darth Vader or Emperor to rise from the ranks of the Jedi.


Finn(John Boyagga/Black Storm Trooper) maybe the son of Zare Leonis a possible force sensitive recruit in the Rebels episode above.

I also have an imax ticket for the after midnight show for force awakens Dec 17th. The advance sale sites were so laggy or total crash when I was trying to get them took almost an hour I almost gave up but I said he77 no. This is a "Do or Do Not there is No Try" moment. But I got them

Everybody likes the "Evil" Empire anyway. The only thing the Rebels got going for them is the X-wing fighters. The Empire is just ooze with coolness. Storm troopers are for adults, meanwhile Ewoks, Jar jar Binks and Wookies are for kids.
